Visited this week and it was generally a nice pub with a good atmosphere. Had a meal and a few drinks. Didn't occur to me until after we left the pub that the onion rings that were part of the 'Chicken Feast' were missing. Perhaps they had run but would have been nice to have been offered something else.

Ate here last night after it being recommended. Food was lovely, plenty of meat in the pie and a great lasagne. Real ales are top notch and the 2 cocktail deal is really good value. Barstaff and owner were really friendly. Will certainly be back ourselves and are also booking a table for 2 weeks time when friends visit. Highly recommend.

Lunch time visit.
Lady serving behind bar was lovely.
All staff we encountered were excellent
Food was great value for money, and plenty enough.
I've lived in the area for 30 years, and visited The Star on many occasions.
This occasion was one of best ever!
We travelled from.paignton, some 15 to 20 miles to visit specially!
5 stars! *****
Will definitely visit again!

Great entertainment with a country and western theme.
All the staff worked so hard for this night.
Such genuine awe in this pub, character all over it.
Had such a lovely time, we had good food and beers/ciders.
We had a really quiet night in the car park.
Would love to return here. Keep up the great work.

Just want to say a huge thank you to the crew at The Star Liverton for allowing me to have such an amazing retirement meal last Friday. The pre order system worked perfectly with everyone eating at the same time. Eighteen is a lot of meals to get out in one go. I may be slightly biased as it's our local but you guys are amazing. Keep up the good work.

Our first pub overnight stop in our Campervan and it could not have been better. We booked in advance with Heidi on the phone for a table for dinner and a stay in their large level car park. On arrival, we were expected and had a really friendly welcome - it was our anniversary, and we were even surprised with a card from the pub! We were given the choice to eat in the bar with our 2 dogs or in the restaurant which is dog free. We went for the bar which has a really nice local atmosphere and is properly dog friendly. Straight away we were made to feel included - it was a quiz night - and we had a brilliant time. The food was just what we wanted - really good quality and good value and they had a wide range of draught beers and wines. The arrangements are excellent, and we were given a good brief on retiring. The toilets had hot water, were really clean and well-presented. The whole experience exceeded our expectations - a brilliant and vibrant traditional local pub with lovely landlords and staff - thank you Heidi and James and everyone for a very pleasant and memorable evening.
