Went with our daughter yesterday for lunch. Our daughter suffers from celiac disease so ordered a gluten free meal. We all enjoyed the food until shortly after leaving our daughter became unwell. There had clearly been some cross contamination and gluten had got into her meal. She had terrible stomach ache, bloating and fatigue. It ruined a l9vely meal out.
If anyone in your family/group has celiac disease I would not risk going to the Barn Owl.

Stayed for a long weekend. Easy to find with plenty of parking. Didn't have breakfast but the evening meal was really good. The owner was very professional and all the staff we encountered were a credit to the place. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend if you need to be in the area.

I visit the Barn Owl regularly because the food and service is always excellent. All the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is always excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed overnight here as my partner was taking part in a bike race event.
Everything from start to finish was lovely; the people, the service; the food and the room.
We stayed in the squirrel room which was a lovely spacious room. It was a very warm day and we were pleased to find a fan in the bedroom. I had a great night's sleep and the bed was extremely comfortable. No noise could be heard at all, from the pub or the motorway.
We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening, which was tasty and plentiful. Breakfast the next morning was excellent quality and lovely service.
I'd definitely stay here again, next time we are in the area.
