Absolutely fabulous dinner at this gem of a place! Richard and the team were wonderful hosts. The food was beautifully presented and it tasted delicious. We've been passing this place in the car for years and years and we're so pleased that we eventually booked up! We will definitely be back!

From the moment arriving at the Plantation House hotel, it was clear that Richard and his team?s attention to detail was first class - the greeting with tea and cake, personal service to access the rooms, bar service, a private dinner for 12, as we?d booked most of the hotel for a wedding nearby, the breakfast etc etc, all attended to personally by Richard and his amazing team. The best way to end this review is that Richard and his team, more than exceeded the website description of his wonderful hotel - you will not be disappointed if you visit and we will definitely be back. One of the best little UK hotels we have stayed in. Since C-19 the service in the UK has slipped, but this little place exceeding our expectations. The staff are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble!Rooms: Very clean, welcoming and complimentary fruit bowl. Even hoovered every day which is rare nowadays!Food & drinks: Excellent food and service in the restaurant and value for money.Noteworthy details: The staff here are fantastic. Me and my partner stayed for a wedding on 30th June for 2 nights. Each individual goes the ?extra mile? and made us feel extremely welcoming. We have stayed in many boutique hotels which are fancy and this one really does give those a run for their money at such value for money!! Nothing was too much trouble and the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. We hope to be back soon. Laura :)

Thank you to Richard and his amazing team for making our 3 night stay so wonderful and memorable. Room 22 was so relaxing with amazing views over the valley. Your team make the place feel like home with nothing too much bother for them. Oh and the food? just outstanding? I have been told I have to mention the porridge .!! Joking aside every dish, whether breakfast or dinner, was a culinary delight. Once again thank you to everyone, even Moet, the latest addition to the ?family? who made us chuckle on her evening wander around the gardens.!! We will talk about our stay for years to come and certainly hope to return one day.

Once again we had a wonderful stay, lovely comfortable rooms, service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them.The food was imaginative and delicious. We will be visiting again.
