FF ? An Exceptional Holiday Destination
We spent three days in this calm, beautiful, and very comfortable place.
The architecture thoughtfully incorporates original elements of traditional farmhouses, elevated in a creative and modern way. The interiors and suites are luxury and minimalistic, and ensure complete privacy?it felt like being in a cozy cocoon. A lovely bouquet of roses awaited us on the table, making us feel genuinely welcome.
The beautifully designed garden surrounding the houses offers many inviting ?refuges? where you can sit and read, enjoy a coffee or drink?all brought to you by the attentive and hospitable staff. You can be alone without feeling isolated. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables grow in the garden and are used in the kitchen, where the food is delicious from breakfast to dinner.
For those who don?t venture out into the calm, serene nature for a walk, there?s always something interesting on offer. We enjoyed a fascinating guided tour of the farm.
The entire concept of FF is centered on caring for nature and animals while generously serving their guests.
The purity and luxury of this place can be felt everywhere.
FF truly lives up to its promises, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

Absolutely the nicest place I have ever stayed! The environment was beautiful and calm and quiet and therapeutic. The buildings and rooms were a work of art. The people were extraordinarily kind and accommodating. On top of relaxing and reading (and working) in scenic nooks, I did yoga, hiked/ran, and went for a dip in the sea! I started planning my next trip back before I left.

Fowlescombe was a perfect place to switch off. The care from the staff and the attention to detail is incredible. The spaces, activities, food and surrounding areas are all brilliant. I recommend this to anyone that wants to truly relax in the UK. The mindset of the Farm clearly orientates itself towards thinking of what helps the guest to feel comfortable, some details do this in a way that the guest would maybe not even be able to conceive of.

What a magical place!
On arrival we were picked up by Pim from Totnes station, who told us about what we could look forward to from our stay on the drive over! Fowlescombe is in a particularly picturesque part of the Devon countryside, with baby lambs playing in the fields, and a friendly owl who comes out twice a day.
The food was a particular highlight of our trip, with local, sustainably sourced foods that were unforgettable. A lot of the food is produced on the farm itself. Particularly good wine and cocktail selection also! Our room was beautifully decorated with views out onto the countryside. The staff were helpful, friendly and passionate about Fowlescombe and giving guests a good experience.
I would highly recommend a visit if you want a few days away with everything taken care of. Perfect to switch off and get back to nature.

What a treat Fowlescombe Farm is! I visited with a friend for one night, and it was a true escape from busy city life in London. Staying on a working farm was so immersive, and we loved that we could go and look at all the cute little spring lambs, calves, pigs, chickens, and we even picked some eggs for breakfast! Food is farm to fork, using lots of the lovely produce made on site. And the team were super helpful and generous with their time, and curated a lovely itinerary of on site and off site excursions - we took advantage of the sunshine and paddle boarding & wild swimming!
Rooms are beautifully designed to the highest spec - it could be up there with the best shower and sleep I have ever had. I'll be back with the family, for sure.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderfully rejuvenating weekend stay at Fowlescombe Farm. What a place!
The location in Devon is extraordinarily beautiful, and perfectly complimented by the architecture and décor.
Upon arrival Pim, the hotel manager, took the time to give us a personal tour. We were also given pre-dinner cocktails in the Greenhouse by Caitlin, one of Fowlescombe?s owners, who pampered us and saw to every detail when we wanted to explore or had questions. Their generous hospitality and enthusiasm was effortless.
The field to table dining experiences were another highlight -Everything was deliciously fresh and locally sourced. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Caitlin helped us navigate the extensive, wonderfully curated wine list!
It must be a huge endeavour to maintain the standards we experienced, but the team couldn?t have done more to make us feel comfortable and ?at home?. I cannot remember a better weekend away.

I spend a relaxing three nights at Fowlescombe Farm. The suites are super comfortable and beautifully designed with organic materials and there are many common areas to read a book and even get some work done. The nature is absolutely breathtaking, with endless green fields and so many cute animals, that are all very well cared for.
I also loved the food, produced with local ingredients from the farm. The menu changes every night and was always excellent. There is also a good selection of homemade snacks available in between meals.

We had a wonderful stay at Fowlescombe Farm. The room was luxuriously comfortable, and the setting is beautiful and peaceful - a real retreat into the Devon countryside! The team were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The food served in the Refectory was delicious, seasonal and fresh from the vegetable garden and curated beautifully. I personally loved the Map Room for planning a great walk up on Dartmoor! Can?t wait to return.

Hugely enjoyed my stay at Fowlescombe - absolutely stunning location, glorious rooms, and impeccable service. Dinner was delicious, in the cosy refectory, and I can?t wait to return and see how the gardens develop. I learnt so much from talking to Shelley, the head gardener, about her vision for the site. Cocktails in the greenhouse before dinner capped an all-round perfect stay. Absolute highlight was the amazing bath in my room, and the room itself really took my breath away - such a beautiful space. I felt truly comfortable there, and would return in a heartbeat

Stunning hotel in a beautiful location. The room was immaculate and the staff were on hand for anything you could possibly need. We had a kitchen to make our own food if we wanted but had dinner with the other guests in the dining area - food was incredible and it was a brilliant atmosphere, great chance to meet and have a chat with super interesting people. Fabulous views across the hills and such a treat to get to visit the animals on the farm - we were there in Spring and there were lambs and baby goats! Would 100% recommend for a restful escape in lush surroundings

This hotel has exquisite attention to detail in all areas, creating unique sensory experiences throughout our stay. The staff were very thoughtful and attentive, providing a relaxed atmosphere to really indulge and immerse ourselves in the farm setting and it's field to fork story.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful new hotel nestled in the Devon countryside. Everything was superb, from the staff who knew you by name, to the delicious food produced from the farm. The rooms have been beautifully crafted with luxury fittings and it's clear how much thought and care has gone into every aspect. We also really enjoyed getting to see the lambs and collecting eggs from the hens for breakfast the next morning! Nothing is too much trouble. Fowlescombe Farm was a complete oasis of calm with views of the rolling hills and surrounding farmland. We even saw an owl whilst sitting on the deck space outside our room! Highly recommend and would love to come back!

If you are looking for quiet luxury with farm to fork seasonal delicious food then this unique get away is for you. We are a family of 5 and we?re looking for something not too far away (2hrs 20 mins train from Reading) for a Devon weekend to explore locally and just get away from the hustle and bustle.
On arrival we got greeted by the farm in a VIP taxi from the train station and when we arrived we were greeted by a member of staff who ran through our menu for the evening.
Our little ones are a bit picky so they catered for their tastes whilst offering the eldest and the adults a chance to literally eat from field to fork, not just seasonal produce but the meat reared from the farm and from other local farms.
Our room had the most stunning views with annexe beams, white crisp linen sheets, beautiful art and fresh flowers. Everything is carefully thought out so it?s a regenerative farm and cuts down on using materials and making a negative environmental footprint. So the whole farm is apparently managed to be sustainable. Even in the hotel part, we didn?t have Nespresso capsules for example, there was fresh ground coffee in the rooms. The brands are also really high end such as a Dyson hair dryer which I?ve been eyeing up for some time. (Now on my Christmas list!).
The kitchen is fully stocked so you can make yourself a drink so you just feel at home which is really important especially if you have toddlers and need to feed them or warm up milk.
You can choose from a menu of plates at any time which the kitchen will make sit you and bring to your room, which is all included in the price as well as all of the main meals. The food was really outstanding. There were plenty of quiet spots to take in the views and feel totally alone or go and find some people to chat to. We found this spot overlooking the hills and sunset all by ourselves and for G&Ts before dinner one evening and relaxed in the buzzy greenhouse by the open fire for after dinner drinks the other.
The children really enjoyed themselves as they could literally run wild. They were taken to see the pigs who live wild in the woods! Then they saw baby lambs, goats and even fed the chickens and took eggs to the chef for next morning?s breakfast.
We had an excursion organised for us and were spoilt for choice on what we could have done: from water sports to rambling walks with locals, art, cooking, cycling. Anything is on the menu as the team at the farm will create your own itinerary if you want to do anything.
It?s a unique place, steeped in history and very special because it?s doing something positive for the environment and animals maintaining rare breeds. I don?t think you can find what they are doing anywhere else.
It was magical stay, full of memories we will never forget and really relaxing (which is a lot when you have 3 kids!) because the staff on the farm go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and totally spoilt!
