Having been to many different pubs over the years for sunday roasts, i would have to say this is hands down the best I've had.Big portions, locally sourced food and friendly staff. Some reviews I've read mention its pricey but for what you get its bang on the money.Location is good as wel.

After a major dip in the early 2020's the Sawmills is back. Excellent Sunday Roast today, absolutely delicious, top quality well cooked beef with tasty veggies and sides.

Review when out of season (between Christmas and New Year). Perfect location for me as family live close by. Menu, service and food really good despite the venue being let down by suppliers the day we attended. Stayed overnight. Room was spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Single duvets and large double bed. Love that some of the other rooms were dog friendly. Not a traditional bed and breakfast location, yet breakfast consisted of packaged and fresh croissants, fruit, breakfast bars and porridge pots. Entry via the bar or via the separate entrance to just the guest rooms.

Great little place on the road to Combe MartinFood is standard fayre burgers and grill. Some nice touch3s inside but felt a little pretentious and clinical for a holiday destination. Tables all lined up and greeted at the door so can't fault it but didn't feel welcoming. Bar staff were great and drink selection is good. Could just do with a little bit of atmosphere.

Lovely place, but shockingly expensive drinks !! Maybe that was the reason at 8pm on a Friday night we were the only people there. Been to plenty of 5 star hotels that provide cheaper drinks. We had a small bottle of prosecco(one and a third glasses) and a pint of carlsberg and it came to £16.90. I couldn't help but feel I've been horrendously ripped off, won't be returning, you have been warned....Food & drinks: Very very very very very expensive!!

We have been for Sunday lunch at Sawmills for the last few years when holidaying nearby and the food is always amazing. A limited menu outside of the Sunday roast if that?s your thing but the alternatives are just as good. Really nicely set out with friendly staff and a great drinks selection.Nearby activities: Close to the town of Ilfracombe for shopping and exploring and Combe Martin for a beautiful beach walk. Also close to the eccentric Watermouth Castle.Food & drinks: We have only visited on Sunday but the roasts are amazing and there?s a good choice of alternatives and an extensive drinks list. Very cosy restaurant/pub next to the river with a good beer garden.

We turned up out of the rain without booking and the staff were more than happy to fit the 5 of us in for Sunday lunch. Inside and out this place is spotlessly clean, staff are helpful and friendly. The Sunday lunch was amazing and up there with one of the best we've ever had. Portion size was huge and the flavours were excellent, actually surprised us when a platter of fresh broccoli, peas and red cabbage with a nice sharers portion of cheesy leek followed out after our main piled up plate had arrived, absolutely incredible tasting food. Wish we had time to stay for dessert, also wish this was our local!

The food was really good. We had the bangers and mash and the Mac and cheese. Excellent. Dillon was our server and he was brilliant, always checking to make sure we had drinks and the that the food was good. He was so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely visit again due to his good service ! Thumbs up to him :)

Very nice place. Dog friendly. We were recommended to eat here from some regular campers. It was our first time and was impressed by the quality of the food. We had the lobster and sea-bass. Very tasty.

Stopped in fir lunch whilst it was hooting down with rain, welcoming staff, dog and child friendly, spacious interior and good pub food with generous portions. Beer was good too.
