Found this lovely Caravan site on-line and just had to try it. This place didn't disappoint whatsoever. We booked a long weekend and had the park to ourselves. The facilities where exceptional, clean and fresh. We won't hesitate to go back later in the year.

We have just returned from a 17 night stay.We had a touring hardstanding pitch that was a decent size, (there are premium pitches that have picnic benches)I loved that 2 pitches shared a drinking water and grey water disposal. Many campers had used these and turned them into serviced pitches, which I will do if we return!Yes you had to pay for electric but this seems to be more common these days. They do state they have a restaurant. However, they seemed to rely on food trucks coming in. It appeared that sometimes they were let down on the occasion, so they didn't always have food serving. This didn't bother us as I always prefer to cook anyway. We did have a drink at the bar and relax looking over the little pond which was lovely and in bloom. The site is very pretty with tiered levels and the stream running through, which my dog thoroughly enjoyed. There is a children's park, however this was a little tired with a few loose / rotten board but this could easily be fixed. The facilities were kept clean, and had the local radio playing which was a nice touch.Overall we had a lovely stay and this site is well located to visit North Devon and enjoy the many beaches.

We found the site was clean and tidy and the toilets and showers were spotless whenever we needed to use them. The site was well located close beaches and shops and the main fishing harbours. The restaurant is no longer open but they do have take away (street food) which comes to the site every day.The only negative thing about the campsite is the electric. You have to pay for this separately which is topped up using a card, luckily we came in the summer because I cant imagine how much it would cost in the winter. On the welcome pack it states that any remaining monies left on the meter can be transferred back onto your card by tapping it and then they will refund you. If you have to leave early on the day, you can post the card through the door and they will issue the refund over the phone. We did this and the remaining £8 was put onto the card and we gave this to a member of our family to hand over who was leaving later than us. When they gave in our card they were told that we couldn't have a refund because we had left early? So we got in touch with them for us to be told that we couldn't haven't a refund because nothing was on the card and that maybe our family had taken the £8 by accident? So we are still owed £8 from them, which they have pocketed. Its not about the money, its the principle!

We have had a pleasant stay at Hidden Valley. We booked a premier pitch and did not disappoint in the size of it. The toilet and shower facilities on the meadow field are good. The water runs very hot in the showers and no pressing buttons like you get in other sites. Toilets are cleaned regularly however some campsite users do not seem to recognise how to clean up after themselves. The toilet plays the radio station and was a nice environment to get ready for the day in. The site is tidy and well kept. The bins are well organised and plent of doggy poo bins spotted around the site. It was very dog friendly and my dogs loved exploring the woodland walks. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. We have use the ?restaurant? (getting a drink) and food from the van multiple times. It?s a great place to sit with a cold cider and over look the lake. We used roughly £2 a day in electricity, this was with a mini heater going for drying clothes as it has been very wet. My 2 year old loved exploring the site, with its steam to explore, parks and lots of open space. I felt safe to let him have the freedom every two year old craves. It?s very simplistic and you have to make your own entertainment. We did attempt to catch the bus to Woolacombe however, it never arrived. We enjoyed visiting local places such as Illfacombe, Woolacombe, Heddon?s Gate and Barnstable.

Firstly the positive the site is beautiful quiet peaceful lovely babbling brook behind caravan pitches big with water etc we are here at present we originally booked 8 nights rang to extend for a further 2 nights charged £50 a night plus extra for electricity paid another £50for a electric card which is going down quick we have been here three years running but sadly this will be the last .the site is very empty ist is not how we remember it the restaurant no longer does meals apparently a food van comes daily cancelled twice during our visit so far. We are retired and travel extensively stay at some equally lovely sites cheaper including electric shop around I know its tough times but need to remain value for money so sad

I spent 6 nights here with my daughter, my mum and my brother, we had a premium pitch and it was brilliant, was close enough to town that it wasn't a pain to go but away enough that you weren't in the middle of it. Lovely walks for dogs. Parks are a bit outdated, but still fun.

Booked this site as a couple in our mid sixty?s paid for 7 nights on a so called super all serviced touring pitch stayed 1 night looking forward to days out walking with our little dog then chilling out on the evenings in the sites lakeside restaurant/bar arrived on a Friday bar closed at 8pm restaurant had outside catering from the car park but this was closed even befofore 8pm .super pitch a total joke our Swift caravan has the water connections and waste on the left hand side like most other English vans this site decides to put their connections on the opposite side so unless you carry 25 ft water and waste pipes you cannot use the facilities you have paid for.The view from the front of the caravan was tremendous a 40 ft wall of trees with trees also overhanging from the rear of the van, The toilet blocks are also pathetic miles away over a bridge and up a load of steps just what you need late at night.we did bring it to the attention of the site on arrival about the water connections to be be told that our caravan basically was set up on the wrong side this site in our opinion should be avoided it is a totally false website much nicer sites around the area

Site very tired nothing quite finished off. Restaurant closed different outside catering offered from vans in the car park to take away some nights, very busy road no pavements so walking to another pub/Restaurant out of the question even if there was one. The web site should be taken down and fully redone as it is very misleading as it is. We will not be making a return visit..

The site was in a good location. Bus stop outside camp. Decent size shop. Toilets clean. Our pitch wasn't in the best position as we only got about 4 hours of sun as trees quite high. Paying for electric on your pitch we didn't mind as you get a refund for any unused at end of stay. But you can plug in hairdryer in the toilets as they have plugs in there

We were due to ho in August this year however my husband got diagnosed with cancer and needing treatment. I asked for a refund or part refund of the initial £75 we paid. I was told can't refund even with exceptional circumstances I feel very let down and wouldn't book for the future. They will fill that spot we had booked again so they're on a winner! They did offer to move to a different date this year but that's not possible for us with everything going on. Thanks for nothing!
