Great value for money, and the views were fantastic. The reception building had great character being an old stone building. Our silver accommodation was clean and tidy, not the most modern but definitely not dated either, but kept in very good condition and the layout was great. It was kitted out with everything you need for a great stay.I phoned ahead for a late checkin, which was no problem at all for the staff. All in all fantastic.

Five Stars is for location great views and pet friendly! Staff were Amazing Top Service! There were no smell of wet dogs clean and fresh...We had issues which were our own fault although at 8pm the Staff arrived and solved it!We would reccomend more light coming up to the site..its steep and a few pot holes...bring torches! A launderette on site would help as other reviews say about doggy smells and wet clothes ..booking again though!

We was here last week 25th to 29th September 2023Amazing views from the caravan park the caravan was lovely yes the site itself is on a very steep hillNot a lot to do in the area but our youngest granddaughter loved the beach we had some lovely meals at the the pub on the beach and at the dolphin inn the local fish and chip shop was amazing tooI do recommend this caravan park and area if you want a relaxing holiday I'd say it's more for couples than families with young childrenThe wildlife park is the best thing for kids and adults too price isn't that bad too.The holiday park itself there isn't a lot of entertainment you can go to the sister site but that's about the same tooI can't fault the staff they are all lovely that's why I give it a 5 because of the staff and amazing views. Keep up the good work x

We booked our stay through the sun holidays and after reading some of the reviews on here I started to worry but I needn?t have! We have just had a lovely 5 day break with our two young children. It is very quiet and hilly with no evening entertainment for children but that didn?t bother us as we wanted a quiet relaxing break. We had a lovely new, modern and clean caravan which was perfect for us. The views from the park are unbelievable. Combe Martin itself was very quiet so bear this in mind if travelling off-peak. Most of the shops in the town were closed, apart from a few of the pubs. There is a co-op in the town for essentials The sister park Sandaway isn?t in walking distance as all uphill on a country lane but if you have a car it?s only 5 minutes up the road. We only visited once and there wasn?t much in the way of entertainment for kids but a bit more going on than at Combe Martin. We had a great day out at Exmoor Zoo, loads to see and great for kids. We also had a day out at Watermouth Castle, fantastic for younger kids. Ilfracombe is a short drive away and has the tunnels beaches which is worth a visit. Food places we would recommend: The Black & White for lovely fish & chips The Dolphin Inn for a pub dinner - also lovely Sawmills - a short drive from the holiday park but well worth it. Food was amazing and a lovely setting outside if you have good weather Storm in a teacup - watermouth harbour - the best cream tea we?ve ever had. All their food looked amazing and we tried to go back a second time to find they were closed. Novelty factor of sitting on a boat for the younger ones! We had a fantastic breakfast at The Harbour cafe in Combe Martin, food was great and they were really accommodating with us having a baby and a young child in tow. All in all we had the best week. If you know what to expect then you won?t be disappointed. We would definitely return next year and are already thinking about booking here or at Sandaway!

Just returned from a 4 night break at this park. Stunning location, friendly staff, very hilly so not for anyone with mobility issues. For the price we paid it was adequate, but unfortunately the smell of damp dogs was absolutely awful, we couldn't sit on the sofas as they smelt awful, as was the carpet. Thankfully we just used the caravan as a base so we were out all day. That said, we did enjoy our stay very much in this wonderful park location but cannot give 5 stars due to the awful dog smell. As a non pet owner we should have been asked if we would prefer a non pet caravan.Next time I will ensure we ask for a pet free caravan.

It was a beautiful place to book a caravan and the caravans kept by John Fowler were well kept. The other John Fowler, down the road had more entertainment like bingo ect. They had heated pools too.
