I had to travel from sidmouth (our branch closed recently), to pay in a cheque. Only one counter. Huge queue, and when I finally got to the front, the whole system crashed. The person serving behind the counter was not particularly helpful or friendly to me, or I noticed, to those that had been in front of me in the queue. I got the message that they don?t really care, and customers coming in to the bank are just a nuisance. Also bank now shuts at 3 in the afternoon. Crazy!I took my cheque home with me to try again another day

Extremely annoyed! Tried to bank a cheque in London on Wednesday, found the Santander branch closed a few months ago and the ATM removed. Check website for Honiton yesterday morning, site confirmed branch open. Detoured from our journey to Devon on holiday yesterday to find the branch closed and no access to AMT!!! Now I cannot bank the cheque until after my holiday is over as no other Santander branches anywhere near where we are staying.Banks and ATM are disappearing fast which is bad enough but not warning customers that branches are closed when their website states the branch is open is extremely poor management. What is the point of showing opening time etc on your website if it is totally out of date and incorrect.Get your website updated and properly maintained.
