We stayed locally on holiday and found this little jewel in the countryside. We booked a table for 3 and we had a small dog. Our dog was made super welcome and very comfortable as were we. The food was superb, tasty and plenty of it. The service was second to none from Steph and Lauren. No problem with parking on site. Highly recommended for a visit. Really enjoyed our visit.

I only came for food, and after having crap meals all week, this was by far the best meal I?ve had. It was hearty, filling, and definitely homemade. Will be coming back.

Cavary was outstanding! Great value for money and flavours were perfect, parsnips in the sauce was out of this world.. definitely be back for more...

Popped in really briefly with my husband on our way to work. We shared a pizza and it was fantastic. Best pizza I?ve had whilst living in Devon. Owner did us a half and half topping. Very reasonably priced and whilst we waited we played a game of pool (50p) yay!
Food and drinks: Definitely recommend the pizza. That?s all I?ve tried. But the place was set up nice for punters. Fabric napkins folded nicely that sort of thing

Not child friendly, 20 month old was expected to sit at the table on a chair, no child menu just told £8.95 for a smaller portion of whats on the menu. waited ages for food which when ordering waitresses didn't no anything about the menu, tea ordered and had to send it back as it came just milk in water. On the good side Food portions was a great size.

A Gem of a place.
Traditional pub, allows dogs and Great food.
Food cooked exactly as we like it. Both of us had locally sourced steaks.
Lovely lady serving too.

Hi in response to your reply ,we were waiting for the waitress to take our order ,we noticed she took the table behind us order and another table so in the end my partner went up to the bar and put our order in . And this was at 7.40 .

We went there yesterday a table of 6 . The lovely young lady who served us was lovely bubbly friendly and couldn?t do enough for us . The food that came was delicious . 3 of us had scampi and it was plentiful and really tasty . The hunters chicken was also plentiful and looked scrummy . We would definately go there again for a meal . Well done all of

Really nice, dog friendly pub near Holsworthy. We visited on 2 occasions and the staff and locals welcomed us and had a chat. On the 2nd time we stopped for a meal with our Cornish cousins and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Food and drinks: All the food was excellent and well presented- we had Mixed Grills and Surf & Turf followed by various desserts. The staff were attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We had an excellent meal last night, and the welcome and service from Sophie was second to non. She made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Our meals were first class and large.would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Very useful spot for EV drivers. The landlord was very kind when I arrived with a car club MG4 that I couldn't charge in other locations. He checked I was doing the right things to start the charge on the 22kwh charger, and reckoned the problem was with the lead supplied with the car. Needing to drive back to Bristol the next day, he let me plug into his own charger, with its own load, and leave it there until it was full several hours later. I'm planning to buy a Zoe, so next time I'm down that way, it's good to know there are 22kwh chargers available.
We had an evening meal there later, which was nice after a long walk - good honest pub food. Pizzas also looked really good, so I'll try those next time.

Sunday carvery lunch is delicious.... Couldn't fault it at all.
Was less impressed with being served alcoholic beer when ordered alcohol free, and dirty cutlery (both of which were swiftly rectified)

Had a takeaway carvery today, must be the worse one I've ever had, chewy meat soggy yorkshire's hard roast potatoes only good thing about the meal was the foil container it came in.
