We popped in on our way home from a hospital appointment today (8.11.23) just for one beer. What a revelation! Proper bitter. Have driven past this pub numerous times without stopping. I wish we had stopped before. Food and decor were fantastic, as was the service. Will definitely stop again.

Wonderful welcoming pub which has earned best real ale and cider pub in north Devon. Mick was a great host. Food and cider was so good we returned the next night! Well worth a visit, would highly recommend.Parking: Good parking

We are a small Award Winning Devon Pub in the rural village of Meeth at the start and end of the Tarka Trail cycle route and just up the road from Meeth Quarry Nature Reserve. We offer a good selection of drinks including Great Local Real Ales, Local Ciders and Gin's, teas and coffees. We have a lovely large selection of Low or Non Alcoholic drinks too.
Home cooked food is available all day every day, apart from Thursday when the kitchen is closed. Sunday's is Roast from 12 noon until 4pm.
Dogs, Walkers and Cyclists are most welcome, and ONLY well behaved children are allowed. We look forward to meeting you, but advise to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
