My partner and I came for lunch, the lunch menu was good. The food was delicious and well priced. The thing that stands out was the service. We're not local to the area but the lady who served us was golden, she had the perfect mix of humour, light conversation and just generally looked like she enjoyed working there. We felt at home at the George Inn and we would be happy to visit again!

A genuine olde world pub with its own carpark. A good selection of food on offer. Our order was taken quickly, although the wait was a little longer than I would have expected, but it was worth it.

We went twice this week with my family and had an amazing eating experience. The chef, Richie should be highly commended for producing 14 meals of such high quality. The staff are insanely friendly and tentative and deserving of our praise as well. Highlights were the steak which was stunning and the burgers. Pricing was also very reasonable, portions were huge and all very fresh. We will definitely go back and would make a 3 hour journey just for the food and staff. Highly recommended.

Stayed one night, the room was fantastic, large, clean, 4 poster bed and very comfortable.
The Inn itself was very tastefully decorated and it was like the Tardis inside, huge but lovely.
The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. I had the Belly Pork for the evening meal and it was probably the best I have ever had, just superb.
I would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely go back again. We'll done everyone for making my stay so pleasant.

We celebrated my Mum's 87th Birthday today at The George and had a delicious Sunday lunch. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our lunch was superb and beautifully presented. Thank you so much, we will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to eat and relax.

Nice place with a big rooms in a little town. We were a cycling group so saw it from a slightly odd perspective. They stored our bikes inside which was great. Lovely rooms. Don't think the shower was very strong though it all became a bit of a blur. Not much alcohol free beer. Said it was an odd perspective!

Fantastic stay. Service with a smile from everyone I met. The staff really do enjoy working here. Food was amazing. Huge portions. Definitely stay again when in the area.

We went for a special occasion meal and did not stay over. The Lamb Shank didn?t fall off the bone as expected and many people couldn?t cut it off the bone with a steak knife either. I ate mine, with a little difficulty but the host said she would not be charging for any of the Lamb Shanks. She was really mortified and handled the situation very well indeed. I insisted on paying for my meal as, in fairness, I had managed to eat my lamb but my partner really struggled. She was very grateful. The pub is lovely and we would go there again, despite our experience on this occasion.

We haven't stayed at the Inn, but we had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The overall experience was excellent, and we will definitely return to enjoy their restaurant again. Highly recommended!

Got back to the room again on day 3 of staying here still no response from the management regarding the TV issue. There is no one to speak to from hotel management the only people you can speak to are the bar staff and they know nothing about the hotel. Absolute poor response from the management. ??

Great decor, lovely cosy and characterful place. Meal was good, service great. My only negative was the tv wasn?t working. I?d definitely stay again.
