Wow, what an amazing pub..... was really busy. But they managed to fit us in!
So pleased they did as the food was amazing..... staff super friendly, stunning village too!

The most authentic old country pub / inn I have ever seen. Beautiful big beams of timber, thatched roof, open fireplace with smoke stained walls. Pictures and antique equipment on the walls. Great looking menu and a beautiful beer garden out the back, perfect for a cold pint on a sunny day. 10/10

Great place for food, good normal menu plus good range of specials. OK, you have to brave the narrow devon lanes to get here, but once you do, you will be in for a treat food wise. Can recommend the fajitas, the venison, and the scampi. There are also vegetarian options. Fo desserts can recommend the plum apple and ginger crumble or the sherry trifle. Eat in the bar or the dining room.

A hidden gem of a living pub with outstanding food and genuine hosts. Stayed a couple of nights, deep enamel baths perfect after a days walking in North Devon.

Fabulous roast dinner today.. absolutely delicious home cooked food and service was excellent. We will most definitely return next time we are visiting family near by. An excellent find, and highly recommended. Pre-booking is essential. We were lucky enough to have a table available as usually fully booked. ??
