I instructed Your Move (Exmouth branch) to market my 91-year-old father?s flat (I hold power of attorney) on 5 March 2025. They listed the property at the price they themselves had recommended in their valuation.
By 23 April ? nearly seven weeks later ? there had been no enquiries and not a single viewing. In light of this dismal performance, I asked to be released from the 28-day notice period required to terminate the agency agreement, so that I could re-list the property with another agent. Your Move refused, stating they would be giving the property a ?marketing push.? This resulted in just one viewing.
In retrospect, it?s clear the property was significantly overvalued ? presumably to win the instruction ? and once listed, little to no effort was made to market it effectively. I received no proactive contact from Your Move, only automated weekly reports showing zero enquiries and zero viewings. Any human interaction came solely when I reached out.
It?s hard to reconcile my experience with the many glowing reviews Your Move has received. Based on my dealings with them, I cannot recommend their services.

Your Move are managing the rental of my flat. There was recently a change in tenant, and I had an excellent service from Josh and the team - all the admin went smoothly, I got good advice on the work needed to get my flat ready to be rented out again, the work was carried out, and new tenants were found quickly. It was a highly professional service.

Even though we didn?t go for that property, she answered all our questions and then carried on helping us find the right place.
