“As far as supermarkets go in the area, this is the biggest by far. Whatever you want, quick fast food, slow cooked food, party food or Netflix food these guys have got it and loads more. There's kitchen utensils, toys, phone accessories, gift cards, flowers for first dates and a pharmacy. They've got the usual fruits and veggies, chicken, beef, pork, lamb and food for vegetarians. There's a sushi bar also for all you oriental fans. Parking is fine, but gets busy on the weekend. I shop after 7pm as you pretty much get the place to yourself and you're not dodging slow shoppers. Tesco is way bigger than the local Lidl, M&S or Waitrose in Sidmouth, basically a one stop shop for everything. There's a decent selection of gluten free items to keep the coeliacs happy too. Plenty of disabled parking and recharge stations for the EV's while you shop.”

“I went into the store today specifically to buy some rhubarb to make a crumble however the store did not seem to have any. Just to be sure I asked a friendly staff member if they had any in stock. She left her duty of reducing items to help me find any rhubarb and when she couldn’t I told her it was fine and that I would buy apples instead, she insisted however that she would check with her colleague so I would have a definite answer. I followed her to her colleague and her colleague said they unfortunately do not have rhubarb in stock as it is going out of season (fair enough) and she gave an alternative of tinned rhubarb or to pair blackberries with my apples. I managed to see her name tag as Lena however I didn’t get the name of the first girl that assisted me. I would just like to say that this whole interaction was so lovely and although I didn’t leave with my rhubarb, I left a happy customer due to the outstanding customer service that had been provided. Thank you Lena and younger girl with dark curly hair.”
