Really lovely restaurant/cafe by the Strand in Exmouth. We sat upstairs and had a table with view outside. Was a bit chilly but very quiet.
Good selection of light bites on the menu and dog friendly.
We will visit again

Really great food with exceptional service. Had a visit from santa whilst we were there who was very kindly giving out sweets and entertaining the children. The breakfast we went for was fantastic, maybe slightly pricier than other places but of excellent quality and definitely worth it.

This is an absolutely fabulous bar, café, and eatery.
We had the ultimate best of a gorgeous Sunday lunch here. Must be the best in Exmouth as we've tried them all, and this one excels on every level.
Estupendous food, so much, so much quality, so many beautifully cooked vegetables and superb meats... I kid you not; incredible... ????
Fast and friendly service of wonderful food stuffs and quality wines and drinks.
Highly recommended.

This place has been around for yonks and seems to have a reliably good service. Our meal was served with jovial cheerfulness and good product knowledge. Gluten free chips available and the ham was classy & generous. Nothing fancy but good honest grub served with a smile. Recommended!

This is a great cafe, at the heart of Exmouth. Good full breakfast, with coffee, and excellent friendly service, which always makes such a difference.

2people, got snacks at different times,cream tea ( hot scone ) tea like the colour of water (1 tea bag for big pot ),tea cake burnt.staff no idea

Lovely friendly place from start to finish. Aaron was brilliant and very welcoming and gave very good customer service. Very dog friendly and even had treats for dogs which is a must for us dog lovers.
Will definitely be going back when in Exmouth again.

It was just after 5pm, and we returned from a long walk to Orcombe Point, and were in the mood for some tea (and coffee for my spouse). We were surprised that pretty much all the cafes were closed, but found that Franklins was open, so decided to try them. I ordered the cream tea (5.95 GBP, which I thought was quite a good price given that I?ve paid 3 pounds and more just for a pot of tea in some places), and my spouse his drink of choice, an Americano. We shared the scone and cream (a huge indulgence, as it is). The drinks were fine, the scone and cream delicious. We?re not experts on them - really not on our diet, and this indulgence was because we are on holiday, but from my limited knowledge I?d say ?yum?. We did break the law (in jest, I hope) by not using the jam and just enjoying the subtle flavor of the cream. The service was good and pleasant, and we sat outdoors and enjoyed the sun and the air. A nice treat at a fine eatery.
