With waiting times of 40 mins over your booked appointment time slot, GPS that don't call back with results even when they've explicitly told you they will and near impossibility to get one to listen to you in the first place, I wouldn't recommend this surgery to anyone. The GP I have had the miracle of seeing doesn't care at all about the health of their patients and despite physical evidence of a problem, simply told me "the more you think about it the more it will seem to be a problem" and offered no treatment. I feel completely abandoned and thrown to the side even though this issue is something really scary and I'm now looking to try get signed up with a different practice as it's clear this one doesn't care at all

Constant being messed about. This place used to run so much better I don't know what's happened. Can't actually remember the last time they didn't let me down.

I have several major health problems with having had a triple bypass, 2 heart attacks, diabetes, COPD, sleep apnea, anxiety and nervous problems. But only contact the surgery when things go wrong. In the last 2 years I have seen my doctor once, a locum once and a paramedic once. Even my '6 monthly reviews' for heart and diabetes checks have been few and far between. Yet when I had a bad burn on my arm earlier this year the nurses were wonderful - although we did not see any doctors in the surgery. When we asked why we were told they were all doing 'research'. Also that this was going to be the way surgeries would be in future! Yet my career (from Penzance) and my son and daughter (from Wellington) and my friends (in Bradford) have no problem getting appointments to see their doctors. The prescription service is terrible, nearly every prescription has something missing (thank goodness we have an excellent pharmacist, Whites in Exmouth who will bring out missed items as soon as we have complained to Claremont). My career has spoken to them, including Practice Manager, yet we still have problems with supply.Apart from the general nurses, who are great, the treatment this patien gets is very poor bordering on care-less.

I had one of the best experiences with Dr Abigail Webb, made me feel better with her kind and good information, the best experience I have had in years at a surgery, I was dreading going due to all the info on the news , Thank you Dr Abigail

I have tried to make a telephone consultation today Tuesday 12 of November will get one on Monday the 18th 5 day's. Adverts say if you have a persistent cough see gp quickly this is laughable the trouble is what other alternative do you have just wait until you need emergency service if they dont have enough doctors take no more patient's went to 111 said contact gp now .I am 77 so I get put on the scrapheap

8.00am appointment for a taking a blood sample. Convenient time; friendly nurse; BP also taken. Practice is excellent example of public service provision.

I would give them 5 star's but the government and red tape are holding them back but as for care the staff are absolutely brilliant and very very helpful it just a sham the Doctor I got on really well with has retired,

Much improved when ringing to make appointments you are not left for what seems like hours before someone answers the phone

Both my wife and myself have nothing but praise for the Claremont Medical Practice. The staff from reception onwards to nurses and doctors are extremely professional in their approach to us as patients and have always listened carefully whether it is on the phone or face to face conversations. They have always been able to direct us to the right person to deal with our requests which again have been very professional. I (Mr Townsend) have used the on line questionnaire asking for help with a medical problem and found it very useful and received an answer by telephone from a doctor within the prescribed time suggested. Keep up the good work and the good name of the Claremont Medical Practice.

Absolute joke of a doctors surgery, wouldn?t recommend! Waiting for my baby to be seen 50 minutes after his appointment time, what is that about! After going to speak to the receptionist twice and after many other patient walking in after me to be seen almost straight away, why am I still waiting! Absolutely fuming about there lack of care to patients, nothing professional about that surgery

Excellent practice. Every member of staff from the reception to the medical team have always been friendly, polite and efficient. I?ve always had very good treatment and the surgery itself is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend.
