My husband and I visited this place during our trip to Limestone. Not a bad little place

I took my family here for a celebratory meal and was blown away by the quality of the carvery at such a reasonable price. The gammon was melt in the mouth and the beef shoulder had been slow cooked all night and was moist and tender. For the trimmings there were sausages, stuffing balls, Yorkshire Puds, and all the veggies and roast potatoes you could fit on a plate; delicious meat gravy and all the sauces and relishes you needed. We all ate WAY too much but somehow managed to squeeze in a massive Cookie Monster desert which was litres of ice cream, cookie dough and cookies slathered in chocolate sauce and cream. The rest of the menu was standard pub fayre but really well executed by the look of other diner's plates.... and I can't wait to try the rest of the deserts. Can't go wrong here for top pub grub!

Stopped for a meal midweek June 2013. Couldn't fault it. The food was really good and the bill was very reasonable. Would recommend.

A friend and I had lunch here recently, expecting average pub fare. We couldn't have been more wrong! We were surprised to find this is a table-service restaurant, but this is not reflected in the very keenly priced and extensive menu. With a carvery available 7-days a week, and well-kept draught ales I can see this becoming one of my regular haunts.
