Well layed out store and helpful staff. Prices often cheaper than builder's merchants

Beckyanne went that extra mile , as we live on Merseyside, purchasing an apartment in Exeter, with a 7ft x 5ft kitchen, she designed it, yes with everything we needed in it, she was a pleasure to deal with , what a great asset to her company

The store is a great place for DIY. The staff are very helpful, and the range of goods is as you would expect from a large DIY group. Sadly, some of the stock is not of a good standard. We purchased a Wicks 550 mm white gloss vanity unit with basin. Two months after installation, it had to be ripped out and returned due to the feet swelling (due to average bathroom moisture, NOT IN A WET ROOM!) and splitting the gloss coating. We asked for and received a full refund without a problem.

Looking for a new kitchen? Avoid Wickes
- The original kitchen spec was Ok, but it would have been good if they'd flagged up stuff; extra shelves for a pull out larder, cooker hood compatibility with the hob.
- The subcontractor who installed it was good, but at no point did Wickes themselves visit site. A handful of photos sent to them was the most they ever got involved.
- For where we've had issues post install, Wickes are utterly useless. They've asked for photos, blamed water damage without any sign of MDF swelling and refused to visit site.
We've previously had a better experience with Howdens. Friends have had better from IKEA - both for less cost.

Shocking Service ? 8 Months and Still No Wet Room
We hired Wickes Exeter in October to install a wet room. It?s now June ? still unfinished.
There?s zero accountability. Departments don?t talk to each other, and we?re constantly chasing answers. They expect to show up on their terms without notice, and when we ask for simple email coordination, they turn around and falsely claim we?ve refused access.
Disorganised, disrespectful, and utterly unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

If Wickes end game was to employ the most surly and unhelpful staff then they've cracked it. Congratulations ??

Tried to book in using the QR code around the store to get our Kitchen re done, we were approached by Becky who looked us up and down, scoffed at us and advised us to cancel the appointment. She then showed us the budget range. She spoke down to us, rolled her eyes at us, and acted like we were not worthy to even be in her presence. Not at any point did she ask our budget, she just assumed we couldn?t afford a kitchen. We were made to feel small, out of place, and like a hindrance. We had planned to visit other kitchen stores today and instead decided to go home due to how we were made to feel and how extremely rude Becky was. It?s a shame, as we were really interested in the Tiverton range, however we will be taking our business elsewhere and would highly recommend everyone avoid wicks Exeter unless they want to feel lower than the dirt on Becky?s shoes.

Really helpful staff. Found what we needed at a reasonable price. Special thanks to Andrew for taking our purchase out to the car and loading it into the boot. Lovely attitude and excellent customer service.

A great DIY centre. You can get most things. Just A shame about the lack of manners by the young man on the till. A hello, please and thank you don't cost anything. A little training from the management may help

Hey it's ok. Very trade not DIY. But gave it all, mostly, but not a great tool selection. Nice staff though
