We have always had a fantastic service from topsham gp surgery who have been amazing at prioritising my one year old when he?s needed to be seen last minute. Every member of staff we?ve seen has been very professional and thorough and many go above and beyond and are incredibly friendly in spite of how busy and pressurised they are. Thanks for all you do ?

Been waiting for a sick note after going in to the surgery midweek last week. My employers are waiting and waiting for the sick note and i have called up the surgery chasing it to be told the doctors days off are Friday and monday. When asking them to get another doctor to sign one for me as have now been waiting almost 1 week for a sicknote I have been told only that doctor is authorised to do so. This is complete nonsense as any doctor can sign a sicknote and access my records. Absolutely disgraceful. Maybe the receptionists should train to be doctors if they think they know it all!!! And to top it off still no sicknote and employers and questioning my absence through no fault of my own.

The most terrible experience of my life. All complaints are ignored. It's simply not possible to make an appointment. And after making an appointment, the appointment may be rescheduled more than once. And as a result - simply ignoring all complaints and problems of patients

Awful surgery. Much worse since COVID.Can never get through on the phone. Never any routine appointments.CQC need to reassess rating.Have registered with another surgery, already much better service.

Would not even give one star. My 99 year old father who had very recently been discharged from hospital following a hip operation needed an urgent visit due to becoming unwell with a UTI. The surgery refused to offer a visit to him on the Monday after 111 said he needed a visit that day. The then arranged visit for Tuesday was not fulfilled. This left my father in awful discomfort and very confused. Only by Tuesday evening he was given antibiotics prescribed by 111 as the surgery failed to visit. Absolutely disgusting

Waited all afternoon for a sick note (3rd) surgery knew my boss was getting very agitated with me being off work. False promises and now I e been called in for a nother review Job pending now I guess through no fault of my own.

Called at 0830 for an urgent appointment on the day, receptionist was really friendly and helpful! Had a call back from the GP before 9am and got a prescription sorted! Really grateful thank you!

I went to topsham surgery for the 1st time as a new patient Doctor wood is amazing and listened to everything I said then gave me his advise which was very much welcomed!! Thank you all for making me feel completely comfortable and welcome and valued ?

Rang for 1hr 20 mins and they put the phone down when they finally picked up, instead of answering. Whilst I was having a severe burning rash building fast, allergic reaction. Thankfully self-administered anti-histamines worked but what if they hadn't? And no A&E wasn't the answer and if it was it should have been on a GP's say so. How is this safe?Sad this echo's what other patients are saying there is something amiss with the culture at this surgery.

A service that does not answer the phone and when you walk in makes you feel most unwelcome. Now switched the whole family to another practice. They have to many patients and the wrong attitude to service?.best of luck getting an appointment or even getting through.

Can never get through on the phone lines. After going in to try to speak to them on a few occasions there hasn't been anybody on reception either, after finally managing to speak to someone the staff were very rude and abrupt. Changing surgery's as this is appalling service.
