This pub is one the finest we've been to.
It absolutely deserves the reputation it has.
The food,the beer,the atmosphere are all just spot on.
The staff are extremely friendly and efficient.
More pubs should be like this.

Fantastic food and excellent experience at the fat pig. Couldn?t meet nicer people. We had the pork and it was brilliant. Can not recommend highly enough. You?ll need to call or text to book, and do so early as it books up fast!

I always think it's a good sign if a place has a small menu. The Fat Pig has 4-5 main dishes, which they do extremely well.
I've heard a lot of compliments about the pub over the past 4 years and have been meaning to check it out for a while. Despite the word-of-mouth buzz, it still exceeded my expectations. The front bar was snug and busy, full of life. The restaurant area at the back had a lovely atmosphere, and I was tempted by much of the menu.
The focaccia starter tasted like a mild American cornbread and had a hint of cumin. It was a welcome variation, and a good portion size for two. I enjoyed the crispy beef, but the star of the show for me was the gorgonzola tagliatelle. The balsamic glaze was the perfect touch, absolutely beautiful. While the dishes were a touch on the expensive side, I thought they were worth it.
I would recommend this place highly.

What a great place to eat and drink in the heart of Exeter. I almost don't want to say too many good things about this place because then everyone will want to go there.
It's good. Very good. But don't go there (because I might not get a table the next time I want to go!).

Pre-cinema drink at The Fat Pig, Exeter. My little piggy met its older cousin. Always love the quirky charm of this place before a film night!

4 of us ate on a sunny Saturday evening (21st) we booked a table but the pub wasnt busy. Service was great and food was excellent. A great find and a would highly recommend for food or just drinks
