I usually enjoy shopping at Tesco, but this branch was very disappointing. Staff looked miserable and the checkout layout is poorly designed. Easily the worst Tesco I?ve been to.

The seller with beard is really bad, he claimed that they don?t have adaptors and the only place to find them in Exeter is one hour away!
I got into the store and I found more than 20 adaptors. Really bad costumer service

Very clean. Popped in for a quick visit while visiting Exeter. Didn't have long and thankfully the store was about to process the sale and get me out quick. Very grateful for that.
The store was very tidy and organised. I think some stores should take note of what this small store has achieved.

I am appalled and deeply upset by the disgraceful way my son was treated at Tesco Express, Exeter High Street. On 7th November 2024, at around 20:15 (Store: 2486, Checkout: 178 as per our receipt), my teenage son, accompanied by his father and younger sister, was confronted in a manner that no customer?let alone a young teenager?should ever experience.
As he was merely putting his phone back in his pocket, a female staff member (purple red highlights, tattoo) who appeared to be Polish and was stacking shelves, abruptly stopped him and, without any justification, demanded he empty his pockets. Even more shocking, she attempted to put her own hand into his pocket. This intrusive and unfounded action is not only humiliating but could be considered a violation of personal space and dignity.
When nothing was found in his pocket, there was no apology?no hint of remorse or basic courtesy. This lack of an apology highlights a complete absence of professional conduct and common decency. Whether due to poor training, bad manners, or being ?uncultured,? this behaviour is unacceptable in any reputable establishment.
This incident has not only upset my son but also deeply disturbed his father and younger sister, who witnessed the ordeal. I strongly urge the store?s management to review the CCTV footage and take appropriate action against this staff member. This type of treatment should not go unchecked, and the individual responsible should face the necessary consequences?potentially termination.
I hope Tesco takes this matter seriously to ensure no customer, especially a young person, is subjected to such distressing treatment again.

No own brand fizzy drinks anymore at 80p-90p for a big bottle, oh there's plenty of the big brands for £2-£3, ?

I poped in to Tesco on high street in Exeter as I won Starbucks cold coffee drink and I wanted to collect it. The lady cashier didn?t know how to scan the code I provided so she called the shop manager Liam. He didn?t know how to deal with this code either so he told me that this code works only at the big Tesco what is not true as the voucher is valid for any TESCO shop and this info was on the voucher. He was very unhelpful, aggressive and very rude on the end as after short conversation he said ?I?m not talking to you anymore? and he just walked away. This is management behaviour? Unbelievable!!! Absolutely disgusting. If you don?t know, you don?t have the knowledge how to deal with simple things like scanning a code for item which can be collected in Tesco store only you should have additional training but definitely not be on MANAGER position. Liam you need to go back to basic and start with sweeping the shop? floor as you have NO IDEA about management role at all!

Just got ID'd by a lady who has served me for years (I am 40 this year), because she's been told to ID everyone. Bloody ridiculous.

I have collected 3-4 evri parcels from here in recent weeks, and I have always shown a photo of my passport from my phone, as that is literally what one of your team said to me "it can be a photo on your phone if that helps" - which did as I got my wife to send a photo and have used that photo for picking up evri parcels again twice since that. This has never been a problem before, but on my last visit, the guy at the counter told me he can't accept a photo, it has to be the original document. My question is, why are some of your team telling me one thing and some telling me another? Which is it? The guy was also not helpful or polite in any way, and didn't even apologise for the inconvenience, just sent me on my way. Pretty poor customer service. My parcel is still sitting there waiting for collection and evri says I only have a few days left to collect it now, and I've looked on their emails and nowhere does it say you need the original document, it just says photo id. Please can you let me know what the actual policy is on this, and it might be a good idea to brief your team on it so this doesn't happen again. Thanks.

Asked for id to buy an energy drink when I'm 22, and you only have to be 16 to buy one

It?s big enough to store enough food and drink products but can often get a bit cramped now and then.

So on my way home from visiting my mum I popped into Tescos to get cat food.. on the way out after paying for it prior to visiting poundland earlier that day I get stopped by the security
Security guard: I believe you have some of our items in your bag
Me: It's from poundland.. I have the receipt
Security guard: Can I have a look?
Me: Yes of course.
If you look at the CCTV correctly.. instead of jumping to conclusions! You'll see me put my phone in the bag and then open my Armani bag to count my money!!
