I went to Protyre needing a seized wheel bolt removed and 2 wheel bearings fitted. I got a call from them saying that was the least of my problems and I should pay them £600 to have it fixed. I declined their offer and told them to fit the wheel bearings and I will fix the rest myself.When I came back to pick my car up they told me I should sell the car to them to scrap for £100. Being a mechanic myself i knew this was nonsense. The issue they were talking about was needing to replace 2 lower ball joints (£15 each simple fix) but they wanted me to give up the whole car for £100. Ridiculous and will never go back!

Didn?t have the tools to replace my headlight, so I was able to pay them here to do it for me. Was very useful as everywhere else in the area was closed or not willing to help. Great service. Thanks!

I visited pro-tyre on a busy Saturday morning as I needed the wheel alignment checking on my VW UP, they were clearly very busy but the guy on reception couldn't have been more helpful. I was booked in and the work was carried out very quickly, I could see the workshop through the viewing window and the equipment used looked first rate, afterwards my car drove much better and it was definitely a case of money well spent. I'd thoroughly recommend pro tyre, the prices and customer service are five star.

Noticed a puncture on a journey between Torquay and (eventually) Bristol and called in here as a walk-in at 4.30pm on 28th December. They said they would fit us in as the last job of the day within the next hour. They were able to repair the tyre and charged us just £30 for this service. We were only an hour later getting to Bristol than we otherwise would have been. Friendly, flexible and quick service.

Took me work van in for MOT, sat in the reception, had a coffee from the vending machine, looked thru a couple of motoring mags, van tested and passed in 43 minutes. Result.

Can?t fault these guys. We needed a new tyre after a flat and they advised we get all 4 replaced. They showed me why and I was quite shocked at the state of my tyres, very pleased at their honesty. My clutch then failed outside and they let us stay in the warm with free coffee while we waited for recovery.Genuinely very nice people that were only too pleased to help. Very good price on the tyres as well. Definitely recommend them.
