Unhygienic.
I visited Pret today as I wanted a reasonably healthy lunch and to chill for 20 minutes to escape busy Exeter. It felt more like Mac Donald?s after a night out. Despite it being only just before 2pm they had closed the downstairs as they were ?closing soon?? at 5pm. This meant there wasn?t enough seating upstairs and so people were crammed sharing tables. The whole time I was there no one cleared the rubbish that was left from people who hadn?t cleared it themselves and the tables were all dirty. I understand people are meant to throw their rubbish away but the staff aren?t keeping an eye on this. The only available toilet (as they?d closed downstairs hours earlier than necessary) was absolutely disgusting. I?m sorry but it made me feel ill, overflowing bin and bloody tissue all over the floor, dirty sink, dirty floor and just grim. I can?t imagine how someone with a child would feel if they needed to use the baby changing facilities. Pret is quite expensive really for a cafe and the coffee isn?t nice. The food is always good but this has really put me off this specific Pret? also every time I go in there the drinks fridge isn?t working and the tables don?t seem to get wiped regularly. The staff are friendly enough but the cleanliness seems to keep getting worse. Prets I?ve been to in London don?t force you to cramp together and despite their higher turnover they seem to be kept tidier so it?s not really excusable and I don?t normally leave reviews but it was genuinely appalling.
This wasn?t just me expressing this I heard people around me say similar things? in the Pret in bath they don?t close off the back this early it almost felt like they resented people coming in and it seems so ridiculous to close off a section with more seating. Clearly they don?t care that much about cleaning so not sure why they need to plan the downstairs cleaning more than 3 hours before close? An hour or so I would understand more and it means you can?t use the downstairs loos ? so grim anyway.

Visited early on a Saturday morning before it was really busy, and had a friendly welcome and quick service. The shop was clean and comfortable. Not sure what it'd be like once it gets busy, but my experience was good.

Have to pay more to drink in however still only get given a take away cup and no plate for pastries.

I go to prett at least three times a week the staff have no conversation push the coffee towards you very rarely a please or thank you the manager does not make eye contact whilst serving he never speaks always looks like he does not want to be there I have had enough off this place only thing that is good is the location I am off

I purchased a drink in a reusable cup and was having lunch with my friend in the downstairs seating area. Manager (possibly) comes over and shouts at us to leave because we are eating (!?) he was incredibly blunt and rude. due to dietary restrictions my friend is unable to eat certain foods so they got food elsewhere and we wanted to chat over lunch. As a paying customer I assumed we were allowed to sit in and eat, seeing as I had paid the more expensive price to eat in rather than takeaway. Incredibly disappointing and rather rude, I shan?t be recommending this Pret anytime soon. The seating area is nice and the food and drink was good. I understand possibly not wanting customers to consume other products but there is a nicer way to communicate this to them. I?m sorry that we weren?t good enough for your establishment.

The service at this place is incredibly expensive, and the staff displays poor manners towards customers. None of the employees are friendly or smile. The latte I ordered was extremely strong, and when I asked for a change, they were uncooperative and responded with anger.

Thank you Marcus for the best coffee I had for a long time! Perfectly steamed oat milk, which is rarely the case. Nice & quick service and friendly atmosphere. There is nothing better for a good start of the day ???

Disappointed that when I chose to sit in, my food and drink was served in takeaway packaging. I paid £5.50 for the toastie alone, only for it to be given to me in a paper bag, without any utensils. Personally, I didn't enjoy the food or the experience of sitting in as much because of this.

Another place given in to the dog lobby. Went for a snack inly to see people enter with dogs and allowed them to sniff and lick the food on the lower shelves. Unhygienic and unhealthy.
