Worst estate agents I?ve ever dealt with never sorted any of the problems we reported, that needed fixing always had to do it myself to then be told I didn?t have permission to do that. there rude on the phone when you call them about a issue. and trying to get my deposit back was a issue I was always having to chase for it back and after about a month I still didn?t get the full amount Avoid at all cost

I dealt with a person named Layla, very loud, unprofessional attitude on the telephone, no interest in listening to the customer. I would not recommend.

I moved from India to Exeter and Layla helped me get my first home on rent here in the UK.Northwood was clear, transparent and helpful in the whole process.Layla guided me in everything and helped me understand all aspects of renting as I was new to the UK.Layla went the extra mile and we did the contract for my two bedroom apartment in less than a weeks time.Layla was super helpful and answered all my queries very patiently.Layla is a real asset to the Northwood. Terrible service, terrible communication. Useless.We have been waiting over a month and a half for the agents to deal with issues with our student house. I have emailed, called and spoken to at least 3 different members of staff who promised they'd "get it sorted right away"! Still waiting. I've contacted them at least once a week for 6 weeks.Communication about work on the house is shocking, and actually getting work done, impossible.We will not be renting through Northwood again.

Nightmare company. Do not use.. Can?t trust them an inch. Incompetent, cheating, obstructive and zero customer service.We were with them for many years as they acted as my letting?s agent. Then the Torquay office closed due to some fraud. So was ?run? from Exeter. This is when the nightmare began.This meant they stopped doing any house inspections, didn?t fix the smoke alarms or faulty mains for over 2 years after were told needed doing. Tried to charge 5-7 times normal cost for any repairs. Then when told we were changing companies, got nasty and openly made up claims, got obstructive, refused to help in any way.We asked each year if rent should be increased. They always said no, would be too much. Then did so behind our back and did not pass on to landlord. This went on a few years until we got other quotes which were much more in tune, cost us a fortune. Similar to their sale estimate, was 40k adrift from reality.

In over twenty years of renting Northwood is the worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. Poor communication and rude staff.

I have never delt with such awful people, honestly couldn't believe the attitude of the owner! They were prepared to make my family homeless for the sum of £1200 during legal issues with a 3rd party.Terrible don't touch with a barge pole.

I found Northwood is really helpful in providing me a chance to find a good accommodation in the UK. Moving to the UK with family is quite challenging, but Northwood is there to help me sorted this out as my first and unforgettable moment of living abroad.

They did not turn up for a house viewing appointment. I tried to call their office, they did not answer. Left voicemails at their office to ask what had happened, they did not come back to me.

Only gave one star because no option for Zero. Avoid these agents like the plague. Unprofessional, unhelpful and have caused 6 months of hell for myself and my partner. Worst agents I have ever dealt with.

We told Northwood agency we were looking for a long term renting as a big family and they said "yes sure no problem" property is a long term let. After 11 months before Christmas we got information about the landlord wanted to sell his property. They even did not mention about a Open house day. Guy over the phone just said"i am sure we mentioned that"No they did. Not. But we are not English so maybe he thought we do not understand English. It was very stressful time. We updated property... Clean the moulds in the bathroom and living room... Put a nice wallpaper... Wiped down a dust on the lampshades (1cm thick) when we moved inbut at the end we had to pay 150 pounds for "destroyed slabs in the garden"??? Till now I do not know about what were they talking about.Hope they improved themselves since then.
