I understand they possibly have new owners now who have been a breath of fresh air for the venue. Booking advised. Visited for Sunday lunch with a friend and a dog. It was clean, warm and welcoming. Sloping ramps available at the entrance. The car park is sloped but level on street parking is available. We had a mixture of food from the specials board and off the main menu. The food was really nice and reasonably priced. Came in good time. Very dog friendly. Staff were caring but not bothersome. The menu was lovely with other options we will be tempted by. They were also advertising specials nights such as steak night and quiz night that also looked appealing.

Went last night for a Christmas meal with friends making a party of 8. We had preordered one, two or 3 course meals from the traditional Turkey to the Butternut Squash vegetarian option. The food was excellent, speaking personally the pate was full of flavour, great match for the accompanying chutney. It was so good to find a reasonably priced Christmas menu served with plenty of proper (not reformed) Turkey which was delicious. This with the accompanying for me perfectly cooked veg and potatoes was a real treat to eat and there was plenty of it!! The trio of desserts were also a great finish to the meal. Finally the welcome was warm, waiting times between courses worked well to let us all catch up, we didn?t feel rushed.Speaking as a local who has been a regular at the New Inn over many years, it was great to see very good food and service back. It?s been a difficult few months since the last excellent long term landlord and his staff left. Hopefully it?s turned a corner, back to being a great local.?

Hooray we have our local back at last. Just enjoyed a lovely turkey Sunday lunch. Succulent meat and plenty of it together with an array of well cooked vegetables. Delicious fruit crumble and custard and a good choice of desserts. Pleasant background music and Jordan who has worked at the New Inn over several years was back to serve us attentively. It felt like old times when Luke was in charge. A lot of the local drinkers were there and made a nice buzz and am atmosphere. It?s all down to the villagers now to come back and give it a try. You won?t be disappointed. Elaine Blackshaw

Could do with a bit of an update inside, furniture feels very dated and stops it feeling like a cosy local. Staff are always friendly, food is hit and miss, had some nice meals and some very average meals. New management again so will continue to give it a try.

It was Very cold inside. Also Dirty sticky tables. Lady took out order-all ok. Food came. It was just ok . Drinks were overpriced. 4 lunch meals at 9.99-6 pints and one draught flat coke. £72?.. Heard it was new owners so would give them a chance. Shall not return.

Nice modern pub just off church road, opposite the church. They do Sunday roasts every Sunday from 12-4, live music Friday, different special dishes each night of the week. Saturday morning breakfasts too!

Me and my wife are In Exeter visiting family We had driven past the pub earlier on in the day and decided we would go in for a meal in the evening. My wife had the BBQ chicken which was inedible as it was as tough as a leather boot. I had the rump steak which was overcooked and tasted like it has gone off. The chips were hollow and almost broke a tooth on them. I didn't get an apology or any form of correction. Shall not return when visiting family again!! And to top it off I had an Amstel which was flat only to be served another flat one as a replacement. Total waste of time and money.

Having moved from the area and heating the new inn had new owners thought I would give them a Second chance as the pub had been going downhill slowly with the previous owner who seemed more interesting in gambling Anyway went for the roast chicken Big mistake it was very dry and the young lady behind the bar was rather rude About my appearance won?t be visiting again

We used to come here before covid and was our first time back since. The staff are absolutely brilliant really friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic we will sure be going here more often. It was a last minute thing and we are so glad we chose the new inn. From 8pm they had a great singer in and I believe they have something going on most weekends there. I had halloumi fries to start witch where epic. Lasagne for my main with chips and garlic bread. That was all really nice. But I must say the chips they are incredible?. Unfortunately I couldn?t fit in a dessert but I?m will sure be having one next time. Thank you to Nyah who got the singer to sing happy birthday to our friend as she is 60 on Monday.
