My hubby and I have share the same birthday so we booked to stay for 2 nights. The hotel has a great location to town. The hotel generously upgraded our room to a Priveldge room and gave us a free drink in the hotel bar. What was also really nice to know was that hotel bar is a 24 hour bar so we were never rushed to go to bed. This came in handy after we had a late night out clubbing ?? we never got to experience breakfast unfortunately, but have no doubts it would have been top tier. Thank you for having us and looking after us. The staff were all lovely and we are looking forward to coming back again soon!

Great location too.

We stayed at the Mecure in October 2024.
The lobby is lovely and very welcoming. The complimentary water in the reception area was empty and not refilled our entire stay.
The check in process was poor. No information shared, and staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves.
Our room (room 2) was very tired. The lamps and furniture are scruffy looking and very worn. mirrors chipped etc..
I could hear tapping in the night and in the morning the ceiling, along with the light had collapsed outside our door...
The leisure facility was nice. Changing area clean and modern. The pool area a bit tired.
I didn't want to eat breakfast here (not that we were given any information about breakfast) so cannot comment on food standards.

The aircon did not cool (first floor) and I overheated (some kind of electronic error, it crashed on activation). When I reported this in the morning, they informed me they were aware of the problem affecting the ground and first floors. This was surprising as it suggested they had allocated my room knowing it had faulty AC. Nice otherwise with friendly staff. Location good for Wharfe and St Luke's.

Great location, very helpful staff, huge private Paid parking.
Swimming pool is charged at GBO 10 for people staying in hotel as well. The pool is alright not great, includes Jacuzzi.
Room service is great, hotel Pub and Food is really good. Great location to stay with family and kids
The property is old and standards room could be stuffy.
There are very few family suites on which one of them has 3 steps to access the room. Was a pain to get in and out of room with Pra m.
The suite room is huge and lots of plugs and seats and surfaces. The floors above are creaky and noisy
Overall would rate it 3.5/5

Hotel accomodation good.Room price Fair.Hidden costs those.
Did not like £10 charge per adult to use pool,or £15 parking fee per night.
Location good to visit Exeter.

Pictures show the state of the spa.
For the price of membership you'd expect to not have a toilet roll on a towel rail
A toilet door that actually locks.
Working showers
And for it to be cleaned..
