The Worst Hotel ever existed.

Got in and thought, nice enough but a little tired. Got into room and found empty packets for vape sticks down left hand side of sofa (in plain view, not shoved in between cushions). Lights didn't work above mirror/vanity which was extremely annoying for my other half. And this was after we paid for an upgraded 'King Privilege' room. Overall quite disappointed

Went for a meeting. Rooms as you would need. Food for the meeting was very good.

Handy location in city centre with an old world quality. Was here for a meeting in one of the hired meeting rooms. Coffee could have been hotter.

Great location, lots of places for everything near by.We got a junior suite, I was not impressed with it at all and we were offered a downgrade, which was fine and done swiftly but with little acknowledgment to the state of the junior suite.Food was mediocre for £16.50 for a buffet breakfast, not a lot of choice and not fresh. Coffee machine did not make hot coffees.Walkability: Opposite train station. Very convenient.Food & drinks: Expensive for lower quality

Generally OK, friendly check in. Arrival in room and the sofa bed wasn't made up for the children, had to ask. No milk either. Had to ask. Only enough mugs, tea etc for 2 people even though it was a room for 4. Checked out and noone ever seems to ask how the stay was anymore. Is this in case someone complains?Room was good size and clean. Staff friendly.Rooms: Enough room. For the 4 of us.Nearby activities: Short walk to centre of town and situated opposite central station. lots of eateries around and a coop just down the road. Other parking within a short distance as the car park outside is tiny and usually full.

Disappointing Experience with Parking at Mercure Exeter Rougemont HotelAfter a recent visit to the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience with their parking facilities, which, unfortunately, fell significantly short of expectations. Labeling the parking situation as a "scam" might seem harsh, but it succinctly sums up the frustration and disillusionment I felt during my stay. The most disheartening aspect, however, was the lack of empathy and assistance from the hotel staff when I raised my concerns. A more understanding and customer-focused approach could have significantly mitigated the situation.I had hoped for a pleasant stay at the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel, given its reputation and the quality I've come to expect from the Mercure brand. Unfortunately, the parking experience cast a shadow over my visit, leading me to reconsider future stays and to advise potential guests to be wary of the parking situation.I genuinely hope this feedback serves as a constructive criticism for the hotel to improve its parking facilities and communication, ensuring that future guests do not face similar inconveniences.

This hotel acts like gangsters with the parking. You are obligated to pay big fines if you stop at all in the parking lot. Even just to enter the hotel for a moment.AVOID

They employ a cowboy parking firm "ParkingEye" to issue £100 charges. Driver didn't even know their carpark was paid and was assisting child choking on a sweet. Now being pursued in claims court by ParkingEye and the bill is now £205!!!!!!

Very poor compared to the Southgate Mercure, noisy radiator, broken bins, TV remote missing parts, iron locked to ironing board! These may be small things and critical, but it was a Christmas break treat, and you expect the room to be perfect-ish, rather than, it'll do ?.
