Filthy toilets , constant leaking roofs with buckets put down, dirty walls that need a nick
Of paint. Place has gone down hill from what it use to be. Not the marks and Spencer?s people remember . Needs a good paint and cleanliness. Plymouth and Cardiff m&s is spotless against Exeter high street. Raised complaint about toilets to be told its contract cleaners. Poo up was etc and showed this to manager and still nothings improved . Place feels very untidy and grubby. The corridor going out on 1st floor to guildhall toilets needs a good nick of paint and the leaking roofs with buckets down is bad.

My partner was in here a few days ago doing some shopping where she was harassed by a homeless person who was not leaving her alone at the self checkout. Members of staff stood there watching this all unfold and made no effort to diffuse the situation or ensure her safety. Multiple rude and vulgar comments were mad to her making her feel increasingly uncomfortable and the staff continued to just watch as it all unfolded. Not a safe place to shop if you are a lone woman, they have a responsibility to ensure it is a safe environment to shop in and they have failed in this instance.

Extremely rude and dismissive staff. There were two women working at the tills on the 1st floor who behaved rudely and condescendingly to us, despite us being polite and respectful. First they insinuated that were taking items they hadn't scanned yet and then shouted at us for hanging up some clothes we didn't want by the till when paying (we were setting them aside to take back to the section they came from after we had paid for the stuff we wanted). They spoiled our mood for the day. M&S: either train your staff to behave politely or open more self-check out points so customers dont have to deal with M&S staff rudeness.

The cafe is awful. We ordered food and, after 40 minutes, it had not arrived. We enquired and were told that we should have been told that it would have been a 45 minutes wait. The cashiers said they had told everyone, but multiple tables said they had not been. After 1 hour, it still had not arrived. Awful service, I would not recommend.

Date 19/10/2024. Ok first the positive. Decent range of clothes in the men's department. Good quality at decent prices. Good curteous professional staff behind the counter. Now the negative: Changing area, poor. No tables or enough seats so that if you are trying on multiple items there is no space to put items that have already been tried. Nowhere to put items that have been rejected. Instead you have some display which has no practical purpose whatsoever. Also on this day women's toilets according to my partner absolute shambles. Only 2/5 toilets usable. Completely unacceptable M and S ...Hence only just about 3 stars

Extremely patient and friendly staff in a poindexter cookie-cutter department store. You would think corporate would put more thought into furnishing this place. Only other redeeming element of this store is the singing lady on the corner who should be on BGT.

I ordered a shirt online and picked it up at the click and collect point. I tried it on in the men's department then took it to the tills to be re-folded. I was served by Tabitha, who is my favourite sales person in the store. I received the usual top quality service from her in folding my shirt and processing my other purchases.
