I shop here every week, (Exe Bridges), not cheap, but excellent quality food. Staff are friendly and helpful, always a smile and "hello" from one in particular. ? Very different from a nearby supermarket where, on a good day you might get a grunt from staff. My one criticism and reason for 4 stars, short shelf life on some products, and I've found stock past it's "best before" date a couple of times in the past.On the whole, a nice place to shop. Plenty of choice.

Bought a hoisin duck wrap from the main store at the very end of the day and sat at the back of the empty cafe, the staff seemed to take pleasure in telling us we couldn?t sit there unless we bought from the cafe itself. I would?ve thought my overpriced wrap cost more than enough to sit at the food stained table and sticky seats.

Visited as I had heard good things about their gluten free range. I wasn?t disappointed! There were plenty of bread substitute options as well as cakes, biscuits and other treats. The fresh food section looked like it had taken a beating over new year unfortunately but I wasn?t specifically going in there for that.I was also pleased to see loose vegetables rather than bagged. It would be great if they added to this range with even more loose items rather than covering things in plastic.Overall, I spent around the same I would at Sainsbury?s but everything seemed better value.

Went today 23rd December, most fresh food products had dates of 24th-25th December, even the crates they were restocking with had similar dates, the manager had either over ordered too early or was being force dropped short dated food, either way it?s terrible management

Usual version of the middle class store with it it?s collection of right wing newspaper selection. As also usual it?s a lottery as to what sort of staff you?ll encounter, the conservative type who?s curt to the point of being rude but manages to stop just short or the one that happily crosses the line. Occasionally you will get a wonderful one but clearly these ones are not encouraged. The food is delicious and yellow sticker?d bargains the ultimate prize for the non-middle class trespassers seeking a whiff of the life of the detached house owner with electric car and pergola garden.

Delicious cheesy toasties that are the best ever, sublime and juicy and forever in my tummy, well until there not...

Rude, stressed cafe servers, clearly understaffed, food poor quality and not good value for money, limited breakfast choice, ended up with a couple of thin slices of cold toast and luke warm coffee. Dirty, overflowing tables and the woman clearing them was too busy chatting loudly to customers to do her job properly. Had to clear the table ourselves! Wouldn?t return in a hurry, sorry.

Exeter is a city full of international students; and this is the first time in the 5 years that I have been living here and that my ID (a BRP) was refused? how come I can open a bank account using this document but can?t buy a bottle of 4% discount wine? An embarrassing and diminishing experience. Just for a reference gov.uk says that it?s a valid form of ID?

It's good to see lots of unusual items. There's a good selection of valentine's chocolate and quite an extensive range of plant based meals. Just wish it was a teensy bit cheaper in there as they do some good food.
