Popped down to Exeter Quays, which are worth a visit, there are a few coffee shops there but this one was great, lovely coffee, a great toastie and a lovely choice of cakes, along with great service

We attended this cafe in a walking group of 10 for morning coffee and snacks. This is a regular venue when we walk to the quayside, as we all like it so much. The prices are reasonable, the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

I pride myself on making a great orange cake, but Lutzy?s is just the best! Amazing taste and texture, and a very large slice. Perfect!!

I stopped here today to get a frappe - after asking if they did them as I didn?t see them on the menu, the lady behind the counter said they do. So I ordered a chocolate and hazelnut frappe with no coffee. I waited about 5 minutes before another girl came to make the drink, and honestly - I was embarrassed. It wasn?t a frappe in any sense of the word, I watched it be made, it had ice cubes in it, a squirt of hazlenut syrup, a skirt of chocolate syrup and a little milk. It was essentially a watery milky somewhat hazel nutty drink - no cream, no thick consistency which a frappe should have.. and £3.50? Please take a look around at what a frappe should be. Because this wasn?t it - and if you?re unsure, just don?t sell them. I was going to query it there and then, as I do work in a coffee shop but the staff seemed really flustered, there was a Que of around 4 people behind me who weren?t being served and I had a friend waiting for me for 10 minutes outside. I threw it in the bin and got an actual frappe around the corner from another cafe. Won?t be returning.

This is a really enjoyable and popular cafe at Exeter Quays. It is my go-to cafe for a coffee and homemade authentic Portugese tart as part of my cycle up the Exe trail.

Had a lovely time here. Overlooking the quays and a beautiful sunny spot. Had a lovely chat to the owner who originates from Braga. Coffee was great and a quiet chatty atmosphere

a welcome bacon and egg roll and a cuppa most Sunday mornings after a long dog walk down the canal. Try the custard tarts as well....
