Excellent shop to buy your Mother of the Bride/Groom outfit. I knew the colour of outfit I wanted and spotted it on the rail the minute I walked in so it was the first and only outfit I tried on and bought (Condici Alcedo dress/jacket) it was a gorgeous bright blue. I also bought a matching hat and had shoes and bag dyed in silver. I was slightly apprehensive about the fit of the dress in places, but after buying the correct type of bra as suggested by Julia, it fitted perfectly. Julia is a lovely friendly lady who was very helpful - thank you Julia!

I went recently with my friend debs to try to find a dress for her to wear to her sons wedding. The two ladies mother and daughter who own it made us both feel so special from the first moment, they showed us different types of dresses but picked one specially that they thought would suit her best and wow it was a perfect fit and looked absolutely stunning in it.we had already said we wouldn't go with the first one we seen so we said that we wanted to look elsewhere which they said was a good idea. We went to some other places but couldn't better the first one. My friend bought the dress and looked and felt a million dollars at the wedding. So thank you to two lovely ladies

Absolutely amazing experience today!Went in with my very indecisive mother to look for her MOB outfit. The staff were so lovely and professional, making us feel extremely welcome and asking lots of questions about the wedding day and my mum?s personal taste to try and find something that would suit both her and the wedding itself.Mum ended up trying on two of their recommended dresses, loved the first one but absolutely fell IN love with the second.Would 100% recommend and am going to try to convince my future mother-in-law to visit to see if they can work their magic on her too!

What can I say!? From start to finish I received a wonderful bespoke service in this beautiful shop! Nothing was too much trouble for these knowledgeable ladies and I couldn?t be more delighted with my Mother of the Groom outfit which is totally stunning and, thanks to Julia?s Collection is absolutely perfect for me - I was even offered the opportunity to have the bag and shoes custom dyed to match! I cannot recommend this gorgeous boutique and its gracious owners highly enough.

I would 100% recommend this for mother of the bride dresses or wedding guest dresses. Beautiful dresses wide variety. I was treated with great care and patience. It was an amazing experience, I said yes to my mother of the bride dress. Would recommend over and over again. My experience was absolutely lovely.

I wish now I had not made the 160 mile round trip as the experience was miserable, nothing like what I had hoped.As MOB in less than 4 months I am keen to get an outfit sorted. I had a particular dress in mind , that I did not love when I tried it on.There was a reluctance to let me try other outfits culminating in some rude comments which were audible to me and to my partner.Going to the shop I assumed I would have an opportunity to see what other styles were available, and whilst I would never try on something that I did not like on the hanger, the " no touching " anything approach felt heavy handed.When I find my outfit I doubt that no one else will ever have tried it on. Until you try something you often do not know if it will suit you.I left feeling belittled and I would not recommend visiting the shop . I now wish I had read the reviews before making the appointment.What should have been an enjoyable visit was spoilt by the attitude of the proprietors.I rarely comment in reviews but on this occasion it feels appropriate to do so in the hope that perhaps some thought can be given as to how to improve the experience for those visiting the shop.

I was so impressed with this boutique and all of the beautiful dresses there. Not only that, but Julia and Maria are both so lovely and incredibly helpful - thank you both so much! I would highly recommend this as your top choice when looking for dresses and accessories. I found exactly what I had envisioned which is just a dream come true, and couldn?t be more thankful and excited. Thank you again!

Based on my experience today visiting this boutique with my future mother in law, I really wouldn't recommend visiting, especially if you are hoping to have a special experience.I totally agree with the other reviews which state the proprietors have a 'no touch' and 'no try on' policy and are incredibly poor at customer service. It's also important to flag that they have a very pushy thinly veiled sales technique where they will not let you try on the clothes unless you agree to purchase them.My mother in law picked out a couple of dresses to try, but we decided against proceeding with the experience as the sales team made us feel uncomfortable with their tactless and poorly executed pressurising sales tactics.This is without saying anything about the sheer lack of styles and sizes that they carry, or their knowledge of what is available on their racks in the appropriate sizes before showing the dresses. They might also like to consider the phrases they use about their customer's physiques while measuring, as their inelegant choices of phrase may be hurtful to some.

I made a booking to try on mother of the bride dresses, on arriving at the shop I excitedly told the lady it was the first shop I?d been to to look for an outfit for my eldest sons wedding which is in a few months time.The lady asked if I intended to buy today, to which I replied I?m not sure, as I don?t know what style I?m looking for, she told me I couldn?t try any dresses on (even though I had an appointment) unless I was buying today!! How do I know if I?m buying if I can?t try styles on.l couldn?t even touch the dress, she held it in front of me whilst I stood in front of a mirror.I?ve waited years for this day and was so excited, you ruined what should have been a day to remember.So today I went to another bridal shop in Barnstable and I had amazing experience, they couldn?t have been more helpful they jumped over themselves make my appointment special, I must have tried on 15+ dresses and yes I bought my dress from there, I?ll be sending the rest of my family their way too as they were so welcoming.If only you?d been more welcoming and let me try some dresses on you would have made a sale as I bought the same dress you wouldn?t let me touch/try.Treat people as you?d like to be treated yourself not make them feel like they have some kind of contagious disease.I wouldn?t recommend your shop to anyone

My mum had been struggling to find her perfect outfit for mother of the bride. The moment we walked into Julia's we were welcomed and experienced the highest of customer service from Julia herself. Julia's attention to detail was second to none and mum left delighted with her outfit, bag and shoes to match. Julia's shop is filled with amazing dresses and accessories and I would thoroughly recommend Julias to anyone who is searching for their special dress.

Maria and Julia have been so welcoming and supportive in finding dresses for my mother for a family wedding. They have taken every opportunity to be as supportive and friendly as possible, giving their own advice but also listening to everything my mother wanted and really delighting her with their service. We will definitely be returning in the future for dresses for any occasion - the products they stock are absolutely beautiful and I couldn?t recommend this shop more highly!
