I cannot recommend this place enough! The food was absolute perfection, the atmosphere was cosy, the staff were friendly and welcoming... All of which made for a lovely experience.

Burger Wednesday is quite possibly my new favourite day ?.
The food was incredible, cooked fresh to order. The staff are super friendly & attentive.
It was quite busy while we were there and without skipping a beat, we were presented with a sample of their tomato and red pepper soup in an espresso cup. CUTE!! A very nice gesture but honestly, when you get presented with a beautifully cooked main meal, the small wait was totally worth it anyway.
Also, the dessert menu? I wish I could have had one of everything but the strawberry mouse cake was dreamy ?. 100% recommend.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while! The experience we had at The Jack in the Green was amazing. The staff were so attentive, so kind & thoughtful. The food was absolutely delicious & beautifully presented. And some additional kind touches made celebrating our wedding anniversary special despite having a family tragedy to deal with. Thank you to all the staff on June the 3rd for making it such a lovely evening.

A gem of a place. Normally, while on vacation, I never return two nights in a row as I like trying different restaurants, but the service staff are so good and friendly in addition to excellent food.
Slow roasted pork was the best I haver had with perfectly prepared seasonal vegetables and new potatoes. The second night, the sea bream in a cream sauce with capers was very tasty. The carrot and coriander soup was delicious.

Food was fantastic as it always has been. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Having to wait twenty minutes for ones first drinks, 2 hrs for the main course is not acceptable. I think the main waitress was off putting with her over the top smiles and politeness that was so obvious. It was a Monday evening and it wasn't busy either

We were a very large group and a little noisy, so having the room to ourselves was great. I've recently become 70. My daughter Shelley Boult will be 50 in August, so we thought it a great family get-together. It didn't matter what any of our needs were. Your wonderful staff accommodated us. It was wonderful. I visited with work colleagues during the week, the food and service were great so I brought my family back to eat for Sunday lunch and again it didn't disappoint. On both occasions the food has been tasty, appealing and hit the mark. The service has been superb with a warm and genuine approach from everyone I came into contact with and gave me the impression that I was welcome and they really wanted us to have an enjoyable visit. Will definitely return in the future.

First time experience at Jack In The Green Lexi was a waitress enjoyed every moment, the starter main desert was delightful. Great selection Of drinks to offer. Lexi was very informative of the gluten free options and her attention to detail anticipating our every need. 10/10
