A beautiful hotel but service dreadful. 4 Breakfasts, 2 cold, average wait 45 minutes. Tables not properly laid, so needed to find missing items by visiting other unoccupied tables. Including, cutlery, cruets, serviettes, etc. Individually, staff were delightful, but all too often did not appear to know how to do their jobs. They always apologised but could not always offer the required action.I thought it was just me that was left waiting to order, but in last 2 days I noticed it happening to other guests.Room was very nice, but always fighting for approval after seeing the ones shown on line; and the views! I get that the average guest rarely gets the nice view, but what a disappointment to see a wall infront of my only window, which doesn't even open.I suspect that the decor must be relatively new. I say this because there are one or two broken or damaged bits, and since these do not seem to get fixed, I predict that before long, the annoying things will multiply, driving satisfaction levels down.I would not recommend this hotel to people with mobility issues. For these reasons, I will steer clear of IHG Hotels in future.Rooms: Very comfortable, but not cheap.Nearby activities: City centre very close.

Love staying at this hotel, the staff are so welcoming when you arrive, Rafoela was incredibly helpful and accommodating. My room was fantastic in every way and I can?t wait to get to dinner this evening for another delicious meal.Rooms: Quirky, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.Food & drinks: Delicious options for dinner and breakfast and gluten free catered for with ease.

An unforgettable stay at Hotel Indigo! The staff went above and beyond, and their kindness and helpfulness made our experience truly exceptional. The room was astonishingly perfect, exceeding all expectations. A five-star experience all around!

Really nice hotel. Enjoyed my stay. The only weakness is the lack of parking - not even a pick up/drop off point. You have to rely on a local carpark. This is the only reason I have given it four stars and not five. I would definitely stay again - just plan your parking arrangements well. I left my car in Princesshay 3. You can leave it overnight and the chargeable period is 8am until 10pm (not 8am until 6pm like it says on the website). Use the RingGo app so you can extend if you need to.

Really unprofessional and disappointing experience. I booked a massage for my wife for her birthday. Took day off work to look after kids. The spa phoned us 30 mins before the appointment and cancelled with no compensation or offer of a discount. I contacted them twice to give them a chance to make it right and no one even got back to me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Won?t be going there again.

2nd time we have stayed at the hotel it is a thoroughly good location in exeter central, plenty to see and do around the hotel. Check in and bar staff were great all had a welcoming smile with a good splash of humour all very keen to offer opinions on where to go. Unfortunately we felt rushed out at breakfast time perhaps ask customers if they are going to eat continental before cooked rather than bringing out the breakfast whilst we just sat down with a plateful from the buffet and squeezing onto a already full table. It was no use politely apologising to us whilst carrying on moving our plates around, in future just wait. Moving onto the room which was lovely full of little quant decorations, good selection of teas and very constable bed. A great shower with huge water output. The air con in the room didn't work which meant it was far too hot it to be comfortable and no windows that opened. It is a very good hotel and we would stay again however the 2 blemishes we experienced this time did dampen a normally very high scoring hotel. We will be back again.Rooms: Hot but tastefulFood & drinks: Delicious

My recent stay at the Indigo hotel chain for my birthday turned out to be a disappointing experience due to a series of service failures. Initially excited for a spa day, we were dismayed to learn only upon arrival in our robes and slippers that the hydro pools were out of order. This lack of prior communication cost us the opportunity for a free cancellation or rescheduling of our stay, or even booking alternative local attractions. Although we received a call offering compensation after submitting a complaint, the promised follow-up with available dates never materialized, despite a reminder email sent five days ago, which was also ignored. Moreover, our room lacked a TV remote, and with the spa being unavailable, watching TV was our next best option for relaxation. It required two phone calls to the reception and a 40-minute wait before someone finally delivered a remote. Additionally, the breakfast service was marred when a server spilled coffee on our table and walked away without cleaning it up, leaving us to deal with the mess. While the hotel's design and location were commendable, the customer service and communication were severely lacking. Such an experience is not what one expects from the Indigo hotel chain, known for its quality service. This experience has significantly tainted our perception of the brand.

The hotel itself is excellent cannot really fault it, comfy beds lovely staff etc? however 1 star off due to the prices in the bar and restaurant being extremely high, £40 for 2 cocktails and dinner for 2 people coming it at just over £90 is very steep even in say London. However was very well done nonetheless. Other slight problem was noises in the corridor were very easily audible and there does not seem to be any soundproofing on the doors. The spa, was very nice but would say slightly small, 2 hot tubs, a shower, steam room and sauna for £35pp also seems a bit steep but I suppose it?s the only spa in the centre of Exeter, however this would not put me off staying here again. :)
