“Visiting the shop at 2pm proved quick and easy, just like my previous experience at 11am, both times pleasantly quiet. I highly recommend using the SmartShop to avoid queues; it's a real time-saver.

Bring a bag and skip the hassle of transferring items from a trolley to scales, then into a bag – it's much more efficient. The shop's recent initiative to price match Aldi is impressive.

However, a few shelves were empty, a testament to the Christmas rush. Notably, there was a complete lack of sparkling water. Despite the many discounted prices, the overall feeling is that prices have risen recently.

Random sometimes the self checkout is closed sometimes but you can just scan the other weigh areas.”

“Awarding 5 stars because this is one of the few stations in the area offering LPG on pump. Prices aren't too bad considering it's on a major route. The staff were friendly too .”

“Not the cheapest petrol or diesel around but they do have gas bottles and a small grocery store so needs must! Very steep drop off from the pump's nearest the road.”

“Not often have I ever had to wait for a pump. Sometimes there is a queue to pay, as this petrol station is close to Exeter University, and has a mace store inside. Can be useful to pick up any essentials while filling your car up.”

“Easy to fill up as have self service machines at the pumps, good customer service by friendly staff within the kiosk. Car wash, jet wash, air/water for your car that you have to pay for. Not usually the cheapest price fuel in the city of Exeter.”

Sells a selection of 'on-the-go' snacks, car stuff, essentials like milk and bread and meal deal bits.Free air and water for your car ensure that you aren't being forced to pay a hard earned 20p on the convenience that your tyres don't throw you around like a sumo wrestler in battle.”

“Always a reliable stop! The Shell Countess Wear station is clean, well-maintained, and easy to access from the main road. Staff are consistently friendly and efficient, and there's a good selection of snacks and drinks inside. Fuel prices are competitive for the area, and I appreciate the well-lit forecourt, especially at night. Great service every time I visit.”

“Really lovely, friendly and helpful staff. I broke down twice in one week there and there was a staff member who was really friendly, helpful and kind. I would like to say thank you to her (she has brown, I think wavy/ curly short hair). I do not know your name but thank you very much- breaking down twice in one week was really awful but made better my kind, helpful people like you :)”

“Pulled into Sainsburys garage Pinhoe, my first visit since it reopened, as my tyres where getting low on air. There is now a charge of 30p to inflate tyres and have a 3 minute time limit. Payment is contactless only either with card or phone at the machine. Once parked next to the machine, remove dust caps first, insert tyre pressure required, then use your preferred payment method.I did mine well within the time limit allowed but stayed next to the machine until my payment ended.”

“Called in today to fill up our motorhome with some LPG. We had some problems but the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We didn’t succeed and we later found that the fault was with our camper but thanks for trying and for being patient.”
