Always fabulous atmosphere. Tucked away which makes it less hectic than high street coffee shops. Just covered the caramel choux nut and my life is now changed. Oh my God!!!

Our go to Coffee House on a trip to Exeter with friendly staff great atmosphere and lovely Cakes & snacks.
Outside seating when the weather is nice overlooking the Roman City Walls.
Even let us eat our own cakes (which we had purchased at another place intending to eat later when home) by brining over two plates and forks!!!
Wheelchair accessibility: All on the level with large disabled toilet.

It was home. Friendly people. Food was vgood. Coffee tasted fresh and delicious. All in all, it's a very good place.

Served a cold toasted sandwich, I took it back and they retoasted it, it was not that great, waitress said I could have a free coffee or sandwich replaced, I chose a free coffee, never saw her again, never got the coffee...shame, better places to spend your money in Exeter.

As a regular customer at coffee #1, I was disappointed with the quality of the cappuccino I ordered, firstly it was served in a takeaway cup due to the back log of pots & secondly the strength of coffee was lacking
I spoke to the young lady who served me, she kindly made fresh ones, unfortunately these were no better
Not sure what the issue was but hopefully it won't happen again

No gluten free savoury items whatsoever!! You missed out on food sales as no one in our party would eat when I couldn't. It's not hard to have at least one GF item on sale. We don't all want to eat cakes all the time! Will choose elsewhere in future.

Why don't you stock gluten free cakes and other foods? Many people have Coeliac disease or choose to be gluten free.
