I went for dinner here yesterday with my mother and brother and we had a wonderful time. Molly, our server, was so friendly and warm, and nothing was too much trouble. Gosha was also great too! Thank you all for a lovely evening :")

Nice small French restaurant facing the Exeter Cathedral. Cosy atmosphere and reasonably priced food. Staff are friendly. Food portion is good, and tastes yum yum

We liked it. We hadn't booked, it was lunchtime on a Saturday, there were four of us, everywhere else we tried had no tables, but for some reason Cote had several tables available. We all enjoyed our food and drinks, everyone we talked to was very polite and professional, and it was very reasonably priced. I can't see why Cote wasn't booked out - but that was lucky for us and hopefully also for them as we'll go straight there next time and not bother checking the other restaurants on the way. Thumbs up from us.

We had an amazing time with Adam as our server! He was very attentive to our allergy, as well as very funny and professional. The food was delicious and the drinks were so good! Definitely recommend.

Adam at Cote in Exeter was the best!!! Seriously best service. As soon as I mentioned my nut allergy he brought out the allergen info and informed all the chefs - he made me feel really comfortable. Food was amazing. Thank you Adam!

Excellent meal which everyone enjoyed. Above all the service was brilliant. Attentive, quick and efficient. The whole staff team were excellent but only got one person?s name, Adam, who was great. The whole team were likewise.
Personally not a fan of not accepting cash, but that?s a head office decision and nothing to do with the Exeter team.

A really lovely place with a great view of Exeter cathedral. The food was amazing and the temperature was perfect when served. Our waiter was a really nice guy and you could have a giggle with him. Would recommend this place to anyone as the prices weren't too bad. They also serve a very nice bubbly rose that is alcohol free and you wouldn't know.

Good food.
Low score because:
- very bad service and lack of staff training
- manager who really didn't want to be there, and had very little control over the floor
- staff more interested in either hiding or facing the wall
I strongly suggest a mystery customer or surprise visit from head office.
Having dirty tables laying there for up to half an hour just isn't acceptable. We should have known there was an issue as there were two tables queuing up to pay when we arrived. Seeing someone queue to pay when you're in a table service restaurant is a strong no no.
More attention to the front of house needed
