The Phoenix in Chudleigh is fantastic! Wonderful welcome when we first entered the Pub, a huge thank you to the lovely Emma & Tracy. They are both very friendly and offer excellent customer service. We arrived at 7.55pm the kitchen finished at 8pm, however the chef was very happy to cook fish and chips, mushy peas, curry sauce & tartare sauce for 5 people. Beautiful decor, this is gastro pub quality dining in beautiful surroundings. Food is excellent absolutely delicious. Birthday meal with my family. We will return as staying 7 nights in Chudleigh on holiday. Highly recommended.

Food is so good! And nice staff the only thing is no outside space, but all on really fantastic.
Well worth booking in advance. Good for food drinks and a morning coffee and cake too.

We met our friends for lunch and had fish and chips, the food was lovely and the staff were friendly and professional. We will be definitely returning again.

We ordered a Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs dish. It came without the salmon. We sent the 2 orders back and stressed that,as it was eggs and we'd had to wait for a waitress to pass the table as there was no one in the till area, that we wanted a fresh dish, not just Smoked salmon thrown onto the now congealed eggs. The waitress was, uppity, but took the plates away to come back minutes later with the cold eggs with salmon draped on top. We were a party of 6 and all meals were served at different times with some 10 minutes between one dish. The place was empty, only one other table occupied. The staff were indignant at being questioned. The dishes our colleagues had were adequate. I did not enjoy the experience.
We did complain at the time but received no refund.

Great veggie food & pleasant pub. Veggie leek & cheese bites very nice. Chunky veg was great. Thanks!! Good beers. Fast EV charging just around the corner by the Co-op.

We stayed at the Finlake Holliday home and decided to have dinner the Phoenix as it had good reviews
I must admit that I wasn?t a big fan of the place, the service wasn?t very attentive and the food was quite average
My steak burger was quite dull and lacked any reach flavours and my daughter didn?t enjoy her spaghetti bolognaise and left most of it on the plate
It?s a shame because the place has such a nice vibe to it, taking the food up a notch could make it some much better
