We stopped there after reading the positive reviews. We were in the vicinity to buy a horse and not familiar with the area. Top rated place, we were taken to the table without delay, even though we hadn't booked the table. It was busy, attentive staff, served food with a smile. Sunday roast was brilliant, enjoyed with a a local lager Utopian. Reasonable prices, great service, helpful staff.

Had lunch here a few days ago. Staff were very friendly and provided us with excellent service! The food was delicious as well. A very quiet location which was nice. Highly recommend!

Visited here on the second day of our stay at The Mole Resort, having tried the Resorts restaurant on the first night. Our only regret is not having eaten here on both days. The service was friendly, the roast and dessert was 10/10 and the prices better too.

Update: we have been back to the Exeter many times since i first left this review. Still and great pub and the food is just as good as always if not better!

We enjoyed a lovely family meal with our two young children to end our week in Devon. The pub was welcoming, cosy and served delicious food. The kids meals were generous and great value! The puddings were all very tasty but the churros went down particularly well with the kids! We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return when we holiday here again!

We?ve had both Sunday lunch and an evening meal on another occasion. Loved the food, service and the atmosphere of a traditional English pub. Oh and the selection of beers and drinks was great. Don?t forget to book to be sure of a table. We will definitely be back

Very friendly.
I was pushed for time, so only had a quick Coca Cola. But you can tell it's a decent pub.

Absolutely delicious! We had Sunday roast (2 meats and the veggie quinoa roast) and it tasted so nice!!!Also I had scone and tea? with extra of cream ? omg! So delicious!
Friendly staff, dogs are allowed and they are super welcoming! Super recommended!
