Lovely grounds, great food & drink in cafe, plenty of seating inside & out, very friendly staff, plenty of different parking areas.My only negative ( hence 4not 5*, for able bodied it would be 5*) is that due to age of buildings etc there are steps in to most things, & as a disabled person it was limiting, I've mentioned this for information purposes, I was helped to get my refreshments, but was unable to access the shop( as I can't manage stairs), dog friendly ( must be kept on a leash)

Did a 1940's weekend here a few years ago so it was nice to have a nose around when it is peaceful, went in the cafe the food was very yummy and the staff were lovely would definitely go again ,but the car park is very very slippery I ended up face down on the way back to the car there are notices but didn't realise just how slippery it is so take care

A beautiful setting and the staff in the cafe were very pleasant. Unfortunately the exterior of the main building and gardens appears very run down and scruffy which is such a shame.

Dropped in here for a bite to eat. Fresh food very tasty, tried baked potato, sandwich and cream tea. Staff friendly.

Sad to say the exterior of Lupton House is a shambles and apparently "office staff" were filling for the cafeteria who hadn't a clue how to make coffee.

When there last week, Went to buy a bottle of water unfortunately I had no small change and no cash with me just credit card. Machine would not accept my card (would not connect) so very friendly staff said just have the water, I will go again with some cash to pay for my water , That`s what i call service. Thank you.
