Good pub with fantastic beer garden: simply the best pub garden I've ever been in. The garden is reasonably big, with lots of seating and sun/shade options but the stand-out feature is the range, diversity and quality of the planting - which makes the atmosphere so comfortable and interesting. I spotted Crocosmia Lucifer, Hydrangea Paniculata Limelight, Dahlia Bishop Landaff (and at least 5 other dahlias), lilies, acers, Aggapanthas, hostas in full flower, grapevines and tons more; such an unexpected treat.
Very dog friendly, staff made a big fuss of our Border Terrier.
4 real ales on tap; Yellowhammer Ale well-kept.

Great pub, never been before. Good job I don't live closer as I would be in here more often. Plenty of choice of beers. Nice atmosphere. Great beer garden.

Very nice pub we were able to order a Chinese from next door, the pub supplied the cutlery and plates for us.
Very nice selection of beers including IPAs which was great. Nice friendly locals and staff very friendly I can't wait to come again.

Our first visit. We were in Bovey for the day and dropped in here. It is at the top of the town. It's rather quirky inside, a very small bar and divided into little seating areas. We were shown to the garden and decided to sit here. Our drinks were brought out to us. 3 real ales, the Dartmoor Legend very good. A lovely sun trap garden. Would definitely come again if in the area.
