“From start to finish, The Commodore Hotel was top notch. Friendly and efficient receptionists, restaurant and housekeeping personnel made our stay very relaxing and special. Excellently presented and delicious food, spacious and comfortable front facing room, likely the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. A pleasure to celebrate a special birthday with the bonus of having fabulous views over to Appledore by the estuary. Will highly recommend The Commodore to family and friends.”

“As a coeliac I have struggled almost everywhere I go for good food options. this week has been amazing booking breakfast and being able to order separately from the buffet has been so good. they even have a little order book with all the gf options to order and the black bible of knowledge if you wish to check on anything. so relaxing so easy and a pleasure to stay. thank you to the fabulous staff who were so helpful.”

“Not happy with this hotel at all! my wife and I booked here for 2 nights last week costing £340. I could have rented a self catering apartment in westward ho for £250 but as it was our first anniversary I thought I would go up market and book here.We saved for this as we thought we would get something special.Its quite a nice place to be fair but the way they treat people is disgusting.Baring in mind we were only there for 2 nights ,the first night we used the spa bath in our room and the guard was missing off the inlet and my partners thigh got sucked to it ,which resulted in massive raised bruises (very painful ) I'm talking the size of a tea plate and there were 3 on her thigh I CAN provide pictures.They then told us we couldn't go back to our room because of this and gave us a new room ,so we had to move 1 night into our stay and pack up all our stuff we unpacked into cupboards. The second room we just left our stuff in suitcases as we only had 1 night left.To our disappointment the shower was terrible!!! . When you pay this kind of money you expect something half decent .Also I wouldn't recommend having a breakfast tied in with your hotel price as we went down for breakfast and there was flies in the orange juice which put me off the uncovered cierial straight away! the cooked breakfast was fine very nice but the flies put me off. Don't get me wrong I'm not one to complain within reason but this place took its tole on me there were some good points but not many considering what you pay. would advise to go self catering apartment if your looking at westward ho in my opinion.”
