Average experience really. Regretting agreeing to not looking elsewhere.Arrived and the table and floor were dirty. There was a long delay between starters and mains. They asked about turning the coffee machine off 2 hours before closing.Starts were on the small side and done poorly cooked.Main course featured chips of varying quality.Festive meal offered good value for money with some nice food. Most annoyingly I ordered a desert from the festive menu (which featured no individual prices) and was charged a price higher than any other desert without being told the price, which wasn?t presented anywhere on the menu. It?s an average restaurant of this type, but I would strongly consider alternatives before coming back here, even if the alternative is better just by cleaning the floor and table better.

The food is better than having a takeaway but doesn't cost anymore. Plus, if you have a blue light card they give you a discount as long as you don't have the Christmas menu. Been there five times and not had a problem each time except once when they're drinking. Machine broke but they gave me bottled instead.

Fabulous time here. Hidden gem. Stayed at the premier inn to break up journey and this was fantastic. Staff were spot on amazing with the littles travelling with us and went out of their way to get us settled in a place our eldest approved of (she?s 4). Brilliant!Parking: Need to log your registration in. But there?s lots of free parking across the roadKid-friendliness: Perfect with our littles. Went out of their way to make them feel included even though it was busy.

I had the Xmas turkey dinner was delicious and so much of it I couldn't eat it all, my granddaughter who is a teenager had the festive burger she loved it and said it's like a quarter pounder size overall for the price it's worth every penny.Staff are quick and very friendly and the place is very clean I would highly recommend this restaurant in Bideford

Just had the festive menu here for 7 people (we prebooked the table). It was excellent value for money. The roast potatoes were delicious. Staff were busy and did take a bit longer than usual but they were friendly and polite even under pressure. We eat here occasionally for an easy lunch and have had good experiences each time. The only disappointment this year is they'd run out of the Trifle for dessert!Dietary restrictions: GF options not clear on the menu but vegan/vegetarian is clearly marked. They did give a separate GF menu reference. They also asked about food allergies at every stage.Parking: Easy free parking close to the restaurant.

Honestly no words we stayed for a week half term October -. We Was told to put pancakes in the toaster which caught fire when we all knowNot to put them in a toaster staff needs training on this. Dylan was an absolute ray of sunshine and was fantastic to my family but even all his hard work couldn?t fix our awful stay. The old man manager was rude and ignorant. Honestly recommend any one that is looking to stay here and use this restaurant to use it with caution.

We stayed at Premier Inn and had our breakfast booked here. The man at the front desk was rude. He was inconsiderate and not polite. Despite paying in advance for the breakfast we were accused of not reserving for a table. The tables were unoccupied and there were plenty of people just walking in and booking their breakfast. We were extremely unhappy and disappointed with the service. No complaints with the food though.

My Fiancee booked a window table for 19.30. We arrived early and Allesso the person who was supposed to greet us and take us to our table led us to a table in the alley. He was very surly and argumentative. We are fully booked. He said. Eventually we were led to table 11 situated in the window as originally booked. While we were the table next to 11 was unoccupied. Not a good start. We ordered two sirloin steaks medium rare. The steaks we good quality cooked as ordered but the plates and the food was only warm. The peas were old stock reheated, the tomatoes barely cooked, the onion rings were warm. The wine was supplied in a beer glass for which Dillon apologised. We did not stay for sweet or coffee as we were very disappointed.Of late we have used Premier Inn quite a lot, and are booked in advance with Didcott and The Marlborough. It is a let down when we find that our local is so poor on service and quality and does not match the standards set by the rest of the group.Parking: Easy

Lovely food, always enjoy going there. The staff are always attentive. They have a lot going on for Christmas. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed the food, looking forward to going back to try the Christmas menu. Would prefer orders were taken from the table and you didn't have to queue at the bar.

The service is polite but very non constant and questionable . For instance we had our starters and mains brought out at the same time ( wasn't busy ) and asked for a pint of pineapple and lemonade but had to buy a pint of lemonade ( drink a bit ) and then pour the pineapple in !! ??

Selected from the 2 for £11.49 menu, added the dessert for £2.99, great value and good service. Staff are friendly and helpful, and generally all areas are clean and tidy. Many thanks.

A great little gastro eatery and relatively cheap compared to the other restaurants in the area. We came here twice during our week stay in Bideford, both times being memorable, though not without issue. On our first visit, one in our party ordered a dish with mashed potatoes, but these were still frozen in the centre and so had to be taken back. The other meals were thankfully without any problems. We pre-booked for both of our visits, which is recommended - they were very busy for both times we came. You do have to be shown to your table, but after that, you order and pay at the bar as you go.The staff were all very pleasant with no rudeness experienced, as mentioned in other reviews. Must have been Ben's nights off, as he seems to be getting most of the flack.Recommended, just pre-book, and don't forget to note your table number before heading to the bar to order.

We came here to celebrate my husband's 40th, he didn't want to much bother so we invited only family for a meal. Alessio, Ben and staff were very welcoming and made us feel very relaxed. The food was delicious and the choice of drinks were brilliant accommodating for the kids in the group with there refillable fizzy drinks and even had alcohol free options for the pregnant lady. They were kind enough to let us bring our own birthday cake and hide it from the birthday boy, they waiting untill we were ready and brought it out as a lovely surprise.

3rd time we've been for breakfast.....thus time was disappointed in the lack.of options available. No orange juice....croissants not replaced(and we had booked an early sitting), fresh fruit didn't look appetising. The food served was as usual very good but not as nice an experience as usual.
