We purchased an entire bathroom suite on 07.07.25 and it has been the worst customer experience imaginable. I am now 40 weeks pregnant and still without a bathroom due to endless delays, missing items, wrong parts, and appalling customer service. Delivery was booked for 07.08.25 with completion for all works planned by 13.08.25. As of 01.09.25 nothing is finished or remotely useable.
Our poor builder has had to rearrange multiple times, other trades have been messed around, and every attempt to resolve issues has meant hours on hold with rude and unhelpful staff. Items we paid for were missing, wrong trims sent (told to pay more to fix their mistake), promised deliveries never turned up, and emails/calls ignored.
This has caused weeks of stress at the end of my pregnancy. We deeply regret ever buying from Wickes and would strongly advise anyone to avoid them.

It?s now 2 1/2 years since we had our Wicked kitchen installed and all I can say is the experience from planning to installation was excellent. Janice the kitchen advisor made the whole process smooth and go without any hitches. Very professional from design to installation. After 2 1/2 years the kitchen is like it was when installed and the only minor snag we had after 12 months was resolved within a few days with ease.
If you are planning on buying a new kitchen I can from our experience recommend Wickes in Barnstaple.

All the staff in Barnstaple are really good but the there are 2 members of staff that go that extra mile to make your visit better that?s Sammie and Tom they are such a credit to the company, I shop there 2-3 times a week, both are so helpful always a smile on their face and will to provide you will product information if you need it, will be back in there tomorrow, you will have a job to beat any of their prices and you wouldn?t have staff like Tom and Sammie than you Wickes.

We called into Wicks at Rose Lane on Sunday morning just before lunch time & while my husband was looking for cement & timber I went to the lighting department of the store & luckily for me a supe chap helped me look for a rather unique bulb sadly his search was invane due to the TUBBY as I called it __ fitting __ he was SO helpful & actually MADE my day due to how he interacted with me then his friend another member of your staff joined in to hunt for my light bulb they will hopefully remember me kindly as I will remember their kindness so much appreciated .The a Wicks customer who was parked next to our old Range Rover help my husband lift the heavy bags into our car so that made our visit to Wicks a visit we won't forget as Kindness costs nothing .

Moved to Devon a year ago purchased a cottage that needed a lot of work .spent up to £10.000 in this store over the year staff was great Tom and the manager Julie have been great .now Julie has left not so good.Julie did a discount on two clearance stair posts for me before she left as been a good customer I didn?t take them straight away, I didn?t have enough money on me but I returned three weeks later to collect them after Julie had left. But after taking it out of the packaging I noticed the wood was all bubbly . So returned it for an another one but when the lady at the checkout looked at the receipt it had on the receipt damaged goods for some reason. She went to get the manager and it seemed to me we was being accused of something in front of all the other customers Like we shouldn?t have had them for that price after a small argument, he let us take the new one but I am not happy it?s like we was being treated as criminals I still have the label signed by Julie with the price on it but I don?t think I will be returning to the store any more will go back to B&Q as I have a second house that I will be doing up no one should be treated like this absolutely disgusted .new manager has ruined a good relationship we had with the store

Wickes Barnstaple, Staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful from the older chap on the till think his name was Tom, and the Young lad Called Alex both couldn't be more Cheerful and accommodating even loaded my car for me on a very cold morning.
wish I could give them all more than 5 stars.
