We had a lovely meal for 6 at lunch just before our annual walk from The Hunters Inn to Heddon?s Mouth.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was lovely.

Located in the beautiful Heddon Valley the Hunters Inn has had a facelift and refurb, and is the perfect place for a relaxing post-hike lunch. Nestled amongst lush green forests either side and with a lovely garden out the back, the food was deliciously fresh and good value for money. They also have 7 rooms and a lodge making it a great place for a weekend getaway to explore this stunning area of North Devon.

Lovely big garden with deck chairs. Quick and attentive service staff. Tasty food, with that home cooked pub feel.

I didn't stay at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the rooms.
We visit North Devon every year for a family holiday and have lunch at Hunters Inn when on our usual Hedons Mouth walk. We are never disappointed with the quality and choice of food or the service. The staff are very friendly. The Inn is also dog friendly.
Only 4 stars for location as the road down to the Inn is narrow and steep, so if you meet another vehicle, you will need to reverse to a wider section. There are not many passing points.
