“Sells mainly frozen food but also a selection of none frozen. Clean store with competative prices. Some items sold are not stoked by the big supermarkets so a walk round to see what they have is worth while. Before 10am and after 4pm you can park on the high street but they do have a small car park at the rear.”

“Great store, I do night shifts in Roundswell and often pop in for treats on my way home. The EV chargers in the car park are great as I can charge my hybrid while I shop!”

“This is my local Lidl and I’ve been shopping here for years. It’s always tidy and the staff are consistently polite and helpful whenever needed. On my last visit a lovely young lady went above and beyond to help me, found exactly what I was looking for and then served me at the till. Young, dark hair and wore glasses, she made my shopping trip so much easier thank you for the excellent service as always!”

One thing that makes me happy is there is excellent 5g coverage in the car park so while the Mrs is shopping I can surf the interweb”

“Wanted to give a big shout out to the gentleman Jorge, I came in completely lost looking for an outfit to wear to an engagement party and he took the time to make sure I was ok and helped me pick out an outfit that I liked.”

“I live in Barnstaple and the staff in our local Coop [St Georges Rd] are always friendly and helpful. A true community store! But I was angry to learn that, with all the major supermarkets closed on Easter Sunday, they were incredibly busy and I understand they do not get any extra monies for working that day. If that is true, shame on you Coop! A community business that boasts how it cares about people! Please can you respond to explain [a] if this is true and [b] if yes, WHY? Thank you CM Raleigh Meadow.”

“Home & Bargains are a fantastic company and certainly value for money in this day and age. Every store I have visited throughout the UK has always been a pleasant experience with some fantastic products ALWAYS available, In a world of CORPORATE GREED - this amazing company has just donated a whopping sum of money for a children’s hospice (Zoe’s place) that was about to close due to lack of funding! Bravo Home & Bargains ?? setting the standards when it comes to the morale compass!”

“I would describe it as a mini tesco supermarket as in food wise and all section for drinks and cigs, is quite handy in the middle of town to tie you over til you do what you would call a 'proper shop' at the main Tescos at one of the retail parks.”

“Our very first encounter with Tesco Extra in England...

We felt like Alice in Wonderland, surrounded by so many delicious-looking items bearing the Tesco brand. We later discovered that they were absolutely delicious (and we were sorry that nothing like these are sold in Tesco in our home country).

We had to go back several times to fill our bags for our next trips. This Tesco will always be a special place for me.

I understand it must be very different for people who live there and know it well, going there every day.”

“Took a school trip here when I was six. I have fond memories of a jam doughnut. I also shop here sometimes. Less fond memories of that but I suppose you can only be six and marvelling at the wonders of a Tesco bakery once in your lifetime, right?”

“Staff are amazing here. I am visiting my daughter and my grandson, who is 2, which is usually a difficult age. He loves to come to this tesco's with his mum. This is down to the friendlynes of the staff, especially Paula and Jamie...yes he knows their names!! A smile really does go a long way. Thank you ?”
