Just been in the Barnstaple Postboffice to exchange my driving licence ... expected to just pick-up a form, but I was assisted, by a South African lady who did it all in minutes.

Well over the last month I've started using your post office service in the Barnstaple and I have to say Petra and her team are absolutely amazing .
We have a small business but didn't want to do the drop and go service as we preferred this personal service
The customer service and the attention to detail is outstanding

The older man always overcharges me! I often come into the town to post and when i do its always a letter that is fairly flat and small and i know it fits through as a large letter , which should cost around 3 , but he never bothers to check it through the sizing board and just charges me nearly 5! When the other staff serve me they actually take the time to use the size board and charge their customers correctly

Often, the queue here looks daunting, but manages to move quite quickly. The staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful every time. Arrive with time to spare, expect to wait in line, and be kind.

After reading through the ratings, I can obviously see that there?s a mix of people who don?t know what they?re talking about or just ranting on about things that cannot be helped. As one of the members of staff from this post office I?d like to highlight a few things and also give an up to date rating on the Barnstable branch#1 we are short staffed but gradually getting better#2 fortunately that ?angry rude woman in the travel counter? has left us#3 the service we provide ?special delivery guaranteed by 1? is a reliable service which 90% of the time works.But sometimes things unfortunately go wrong, but this isn?t todo with us this is todo with Royal Mail as once the item leaves us it?s down to them to post it.#4 I can 1000% say that not a single member of staff is rude, ignorant or lazy#5 if any of you haven?t noticed the staff member what?s stationed on the self service will try to cut down the que by bringing them over and helping them use the machine and hopefully teaching them too#6 you can post anything on the self service tills other then intentional parcels and you can even pay bills AND buy stamps (so if you don?t want to be waiting in those long ques do yourself a favour and have a go WE are here to help)I really do hope this is helpful if you have any other questions feel free to email me via this account thank you :)

What a waste of time this post office is. Closed between 11am till 12/30 ,apparently no staff, not fit for purpose.
