I was very pleasantly surprised to find this really well-stocked Asian shop. Very friendly seller. “Our very first encounter with Tesco Extra in England...

We felt like Alice in Wonderland, surrounded by so many delicious-looking items bearing the Tesco brand. We later discovered that they were absolutely delicious (and we were sorry that nothing like these are sold in Tesco in our home country).

We had to go back several times to fill our bags for our next trips. This Tesco will always be a special place for me.

I understand it must be very different for people who live there and know it well, going there every day.”

“I live in Barnstaple and the staff in our local Coop [St Georges Rd] are always friendly and helpful. A true community store! But I was angry to learn that, with all the major supermarkets closed on Easter Sunday, they were incredibly busy and I understand they do not get any extra monies for working that day. “I would describe it as a mini tesco supermarket as in food wise and all section for drinks and cigs, is quite handy in the middle of town to tie you over til you do what you would call a 'proper shop' at the main Tescos at one of the retail parks.”

“One of the main reasons i find premier is it's convenience, if its evening you pick up anything from Tin openers, pens to bread tinned meats, pop,, pastries sweets , the essentials like bread milk cooked meats and confectiony, cigs and alchol. Their open from early morning to later in the evening, service is quite friendly.”

“Edit:So figured it was time to update this review as things change, change is just what this store has done. Recently the huge pot hole has been repaired and to a fairly high standard so should last. Also the staff seem much happier now and their stocking issues appear to also have been resolved.What a result, keep up this good work!Old Review:Worst store by a long shot, I'd recommend going to the garage at the top of the road rather than here. Shop looks like its about to fall apart and that's nice, the carparking area has a massive pot hole which has been there for quite sometime now and staff just aren't bothered. That and the fact they never have the basics such as milk is just no good as a shop. Stay clear and go elsewhere, save your time”

“Had great service for both diesel and LPG unfortunately LPG was not working last time I called and was told may not be repaired. As a member of Motor Caravan Club this was the only site ti get gas in the North Devon area and many of the MCC used them. Let's hope its repaired soon.”

“If you're into junk food, sweeties, energy drinks or alcohol this is a great shop. Actual groceries, very small selection at a very high price. The staff have a great deal to put up with with poor management by owner, low wages, missed tea breaks and lunch times as no staff to cover. The three stars are for the staff. They deserve five.”
