Went for a lovely meal. We both had the lamb rump, partner had sticky toffee pudding, and I had the cheesecake. Everything was perfect. All of the food was amazing and very well done. Couldn't fault any of it. The staff were very very helpful, and attentive. I took my puppy, which is the first eatery, I've taken her to. She was well behaved, and very welcome. We didn't stay, but I heard them welcome overnight guests and again very accommodating. 100% recommend. Thankyou

Lovely food. I had the Shepherd's Pie. Tasted home cooked. Highly recommended. I didn't chat much cos I was processing photos and writing, but the bar area was lively with friendly chatter.
And they let me stay in my campervan in the carpark. Thanks.

We were staying nearby and wanted an early evening meal. As this pub was a very short drive away it was the obvious choice. The restaurant and bar area were pleasant and welcoming. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good. The French Onion soup was rich and full of flavour. I enjoyed the spicy beef salad, but be warned it is pretty spicy. The beefburger and the chicken burger looked delicious but disappeared before I could try a morsel. Plenty of parking.

Really lovely lunchtime meal. High end pub food with a good, varied menu and plenty of it. Service was quick and courteous, food well presented at reasonable cost. As we had three large dogs they gave us seating in a small lounge area with enough room for them to lay comfortably and away from other distractions so we could all relax and enjoy our meal. We had eaten at two other recommended, high end Exmoor pubs and the Exeter Inn was by far the best. Only downside is the lack of a garden and the seating outside borders the road. But with wasp season in full swing we would not have eaten outside anyway.

Called in on Wednesday lunch time, we were given a lunchtime menu and told a meal and a drink for £10, ordered two meals two drinks and was charged £32 . Shan?t bother again.

We've just returned from a lovely Bank Holiday away staying at the Exeter Inn! The beds were soooo comfortable, staff were extremely welcoming, especially to our two little dogs, and the food was amazing! My husband says it was the best roast he's ever had!! Bampton was just a 20-minute walk away, which was great for an afternoon out and a few drinks. The Exeter Inn was also perfectly located to jump in the car a short distance and go walking around Haddon Hill, which is highly recommended. All in all, we had a great stay! Thank you to Johnathan and all the staff for being such lovely hosts!

Thank you very much to the Exeter Inn for an amazing Sunday lunch! The roast beef was absolutely incredible, comfortable pub atmosphere and a friendly team. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

I have stayed here 3 times now and I love it. It?s like home to home for me. Rooms are so comfortable and my terrier loves it here just as much as I do!! Great food, great atmosphere and just such kind people to host you. It?s the safest place I?ve ever felt in staying in an accommodation like this. Highly recommend

Traditional pub, unique setting, fantastic food. Couldn?t ask for more from a country pub. Each dish we had was delicious and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly, accommodating and we felt welcome. Great range of ales with a mix of local (Otter) and further afield. Lovely well poured pint too.
There are high chairs for little ones and even the kid?s menu was tasty - I?d happily have had it as a main meal! Sitting outside the pub and watching the world go by was a delight with such lovely food and drink.
Really impressed, thanks to all the team here. Looking forward to our next visit
Food & drinks: Presented beautifully and great value for money. Every single dish was delicious - even the kid?s menu!

Good food and friendly staff.
Food was excellent but the crumble could have been hotter, and a was a little tricky to eat. Everything else was excellent.
Dog friendly.
One thing to note is that the toilets are up a few steps, which are old and uneven
