Have eaten in here two nights running. The Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was very good. Great value too. Lovely atmosphere with lots of locals. I highly recommend this establishment.

Dogs OK outside but not inside, there are plenty of tables outside if the weather is fine, although only a couple of covered ones in the smoking area outside. There are dog water bowls available to fill as required from a water barrel outside. Food was fine and service was quick and friendly. Price was OK although slightly high for a simple sandwich lunch.

Stumbled across this in the middle of a spontaneous walk. Popped in for some pints and lunch and would certainly recommend. Prices are very reasonable for todays economic environment. But this wasn't at the detriment of quality. All the food we had was great. Again refreshing to see traditional boozers serving great meals at decent prices. Thank you.

Unfortunately terrible undercooked food been before big family meal perfect been before Sunday lunch awesome went today didn't moan but terrible not cooked cabbage not even seen a pan roast potatoes deep fried i think awful beef warmed up on radiators ???won't go back till next year not one thing on the plates we're edible

2nd time visiting here. Had a fantastic roast dinner. Very fresh veg and the beef was spot on. Staff were very nice and polite. Really cant fault a thing thank you.

Only had ham baguette, they were very tasty and you could tell the ham was from a butchers.
Just a shame it's not dog friendly inside ?

The food was dated but tasty and fresh. None of the musty taste of the old days. The mash on my lasagna was weird. But edible. People were SO nice though. The bar staff, wait staff and regulars. This would be my local if I was a local.

Perfect place for a mid-Dog Walk respite and refuel. Location, interior/exterior lovely, staff amazing, and the food and drink (selection and quality) is great - a regular haunt that comes highly recommended.

Great pub in a beautiful town,lots of outdoor spacious seating,perfect for a sunny day with your dog.
Great food and menu very well priced.
All the staff are also friendly.

Only stopped for drinks but had a great choice of everything, food smelt delicious and upon looking not badly priced. Lovely beer garden, caters for dogs.
