Ordered fish & chips today and took the food home which is not far. I started to eat the fish and if I'm honest I needed a Stihl saw to get through the batter, it was like chewing rock and steel wire!! Eventually getting to the fish I found that was dry as a bone, I honestly think reheated from the day before, absolutely disgusting and I've never come across anything like it in my entire life!! I'm now off to McDonald's, at least they are consistent!! AVOID, do not spend hard earned money with this outlet!!

Medium chips is tiny, barely fed 2 of us
Someone forgot to mush the mushy peas it was just normal peas and green water. Pretty sure if I threw the Battered sausage at the window it would smash it. It's one saving grace was the fish which was lovely even though it was so greasy just stop oil set up a protest

Well i gave it one last try but to expensive for what you actually get, i dont no what they are cooking the chips in, but they taste like motor oil.

Just had my very last trip to this basic fish and chip shop. My experience at UPO was nothing short of terrible. The staff were unprofessional, showing no respect for their customers or the basics of good service. When I raised an issue with my order, they were unapologetic and dismissive, offering no solution or accountability. Their inexperience was evident in the poorly cooked food and the disorganised service. This place clearly lacks the standards expected of even a basic fish and chip shop. I wouldn?t recommend it to anyone. If you like VERY greasy food, this is the place to go. I?ve had to take food back there on three other separate occasions and not once has anyone ever said sorry. ITS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. If I could give it a ?0? I would.

Order from here regular but last couple of times food has been terrible the kebab meat meat was shredded which they never did before came cold had to phone them and was lied to. It's a shame really but will be ordering somewhere else from today 19/12/2024

Usually a good local chippy we go here at least twice months. Usually quite nice however I?ve just received my usual and I feel like I?ve been given the left overs the chips are barely even chips and donner meat is just shavings i normally get full strips of donner meat. Not very good when you spend your last bit off money on it and receive that. Lost a customer now will not be going again

Very disappointed order 2 doner meat and chips. The amount of doner meat is non existent and had been chopped up in to small pieces and was warmed up on a grill plate making it hard and crispy it tasted awful. (Chopping it into small pieces doesn't make it look any more quantity just makes it look awful). Chips tasted like old dirty oil definitely won't be going there again what a waste of money. STAY CLEAR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Not had a great deal from the menu, but always friendly, there's a big selection, good prices and tastes good. Also somewhere to park out front, which is always a bonus compared to most highstreet chip shops and takeaways

Speedy delivery wasn?t expecting it half hour earlier than it stated. Food was delicious chips tasty and crispy and the haddock was great although think I better have a small haddock didn?t have any room on my plate for some chips

Ordered southern fried chicken and waited for it to be cooked , so obviously it was fresh and a chicken wrapWhen I got home, the wrap was a burger, and the chicken was so dry it was inedible. I'll be unlikely to go there again
